She was talking about reclaiming the corpse before Orochi strung him up for weeks for his body to decompose as the country looked on. This was often done as a message to would-be rebels and dissenters. Thats how Japan gets down. Either that or they would just decapitate you and leave your rotting head sitting out behind bars. Shinobu wanted him to have a dignified and honorable burial ceremony.

Guys are surprised at the reveal of who Kamazo is; it's the topic of the episode. Everyone in the comments talking about Kamazo. Even if you mixed up Kamazo and Kyoshiro names, if you watched the episode that would become clear to you, as well as what everyone is reacting to. But he didn't watch the episode, and is talking about things nothing to do with this episode, or at what everyone are (or were) surprised about. Thus my comment - watch the episode, to him. As it makes 0 sense; he jumped into commenting before watching, making assumptions: People are not surprised about Kyoshiro letting Hiyori go - that was revealed episodes ago, at the battle on the bridge episodes, by logical deduction of her being alive and everyone understood it weeks ago - it doesn't get mentioned again in this episode as a reveal of any kind. It has nothing to do with the reveals in this episode pertaining to Kamazo. So his wording of "But was this actually a surprising reveal for anyone?....Kamazo intentionally saved her from being killed by Orochi." makes no sense, unless you didn't watch the episode and are commenting about peoples reaction, while you're mixed up.

I'm not getting spoiled; Kyoshiro saved Hiyori, not Kamazo - Kamazo was sent after Toko, to kill her because she was laughing at Orochi - Orochi believes Hiyori to be dead, she just happened to be with Toko.

Once we saw she was alive, I instantly assumed Kamazo intentionally saved her from being killed by Orochi. He's a master swordsman and she's not a fighter, if he wanted her dead, she'd be dead.

If so, it's interesting to note that the last 34 episodes have actually been consistent with the original manga canon. I hope this doesn't come across as nitpicking – I totally respect your perspective on what constitutes filler content. It’s all about how each fan enjoys the series, after all! On a related note, the manga canon has been faithfully followed since episode 897. The only exception was the 20th anniversary special at episode 907, which admittedly was quite exciting (even though it was technically a deviation). I always appreciate a good discussion about our favorite series. Hope you're having a great day!
