We're In The Open! One Piece Ep 941 Reaction

We're In The Open! One Piece Ep 941 Reaction

Hell, even the guns don't do the job in One Piece sometimes, multiple times we've seen people walk off even cannon-sized bullets. Putting that aside, Otoko staring at Yasui and trying to move him really got to me.

Speaking of emotions, I had really wanted to see yalls faces when the truth about Smile hit yall....😭

Lady Flawless

have you seen that post that shows that tears caused by different emotions look different under the microscope? so (iirc) it was basically stated you are literally regulating the emotions when you cry, getting excess hormones and chemicals out of your body

@unc54 One Piece pacing is slow, so is Wano. But what upsets me the most are mathematicians like you (tho I believe you're only saying what you hear, so don't take it personal). "0.8 chapter" means exactly nothing, as pre-timeskip chapters had several time less content in them. Just on pure wordcount alone (wordcount is at least 3 times more what it used to be; people who react to manga f.e., read many of beggining volumes in like 90 minutes to 2h, but if you look at the second half, readings get from 3h+ to even 4.5h (depending on volume) - clearly chapters get way denser) but this includes many other things, like panel count - panels denote more actions. Pacing really never changed. We get some slow episodes, and some decently paced episodes (if the chapter was information heavy or they inserted great filler with great direction). Exactly as it was pre-timeskip. People just have selective memories. Go watch Skypiea or something, and you'll find dozens of episodes like this Wano episode in terms of pacing - many enviromental shots. We listen to birds squaking. We look at treetops, etc. Here, we look at some laughter. This black and white notion keeps getting repeated by some twitter users, who checked how many pages was adapted in an episode, and thinks this attributes to pacing being slower now; obviously just seeing the number and not taking else into consideration. Because it gets repeated, it genuinely has a psychological effect on people, where they notice the pacing more, and enjoy the episode less as they start watching it with that in the back of their minds, that false belief that now everything is slower, when it's not. Pacing will only really improve on the very last arc. As by then, Manga will be finished, and even before the finish, anime might start amping things up, knowing they won't catch up anymore. And of course, with Wit OP adaptation, too.

Being able to express your emotions as an outlet by crying or yelling is what keeps people sane. Not being able to express yourself would be truly maddening. Repressing those emotions and stress is what causes people to die young due to a host of health issues like heart failure or mental illness. Assuming they don’t just outright go insane or choose to end it all, first. Locked-in syndrome has always been one of the most horrifying things to me for this reason. When Hiyori said ‘this was orochi’s heaviest sin’ those words weighed heavy fr fr

Honestly one of the craziest reveals in one piece for me. I was just like oh toko is a silly one piece character. Then oda ripped out my fucking heart. 😟

One Piece pacing post-timeskip falls off a cliff. I think by Wano they're only adapting 0.8 chapters per episode.

This is one of the points in the story where reading the manga comes in handy because Caesar and Germa have a great cover story arc that lets you know exactly what happened after our crew left whole cake Island. There are several cover story arcs that do this for various different characters. It's part of the World building.

Damn wano pacing is pretty bad. The staring contest they do everytime is seriously hard to watch😭

Oof i hate Orochi man. And he's mad at Toko for laughing when HE'S the one who made her have no other emotions in the first place!

Facts we went crazy over that

To provide a bit more context to this scene outside of Sanji and Zoro saving Otoko, this was a big deal because this is the first time we see them physically together and interacting with one another since Dressrosa. I believe the last time we see them interact is when Sanji chases Zoro around the streets of Dressrosa while Zoro is trying to get his stolen sword back from Wicca. We don't see them interact again for the duration of Dressrosa, Zou, the entirety of Wholecake, or the beginning of Wano. When you can binge something, it's not all that relevant. But it was literal years for those of us who read the manga or watched the anime week to week in real time lol it was a great moment
