I really do love and hate One Piece.... Wasting time with shite that makes no sense at all, as usual. This episode basically stated: 2nd Gear Jet Hawk one shots Holdum | Shutenmaru is on equal footing with Drought Jack | And that Shutenmaru (SOMEHOW) = Holdum....What?! There's no way Jack would get one shot by Jet Hawk, OR struggle with Holdum, so what the fuck? I'm not giving this show it's 400th pass of making no fucking sense according to it's own logic the writing as presented. This show could be 500 episodes if it had decent pacing and cut out the literal hundreds of episodes of filler.

2024-01-13 05:39:52 +0000 UTCYeah I'm not sure if they were trying to make Holdem seem stronger than he is since he just got his ass kicked by Luffy so easily or what lol he's not super weak considering he's an Emporer's headliner subordinate, but he's definitely not on Luffy or Ashura level, and the anime making it seem that way after the fact was really weird.

In the manga, Ashura and his gang return to find their hideout burning to the ground. They catch one of Holdem's underlings who set the fire, and surmise it was Holdem's order to do it. Ashura says he's going to Bakura Town in oder to kill Holdem but his subordinates object because they don't want Kaido's crew to come looking for them. The anime does a disservice with the Holdem vs Ashura part IMO.
