This was probably one of the top episodes I've watched of all time, thorfinn changed my life,I know im late but watching this show along with your reactions has been such an experience for me, I really appreciate y'all and I love that you also love the show as much I do. Thank you 🙏

I think I mentioned this a while back, but this arc is probably the most divisive manga arc of all time. You either love it or hate it and there’s really no in-between. The show asks a lot of patience, emotional intelligence, critical analysis, and lateral thinking of the viewer, and not everybody wants that or is capable of it. A lot of folks got the wrong impression from the first season and figured that was setting the pace for the show at large, when in reality it was merely one character’s tragic backstory. This caused a schism in the demographic wherein half the viewers love the story for the motifs and profound character development and the other half just want another brutal Viking deathmatch. In fact, you guys embodied this schism perfectly in this episode, when Hus said it was sad that Thorfinn wouldn’t just wild out and Heat responded passionately with “no, it’s not sad!” The homie I came up with who grew up in Palmdale and then Watts loved the first season, but couldn’t finish the second bc and I quote “it’s just more and more farm boy slave shit.” I was a little concerned that y’all had lost interest, as a lot of people fell off in this arc, but I’m relieved to hear that’s not the case. I agree Heat, Vinland is in my top 3 anime, close to #1 if not #1. I consider it one of the greatest stories ever written, and possibly the greatest manga ever written. In my eyes this story is far better than Game of Thrones, but that’s a hot take which is subjective tbf, and comparisons are dumb anyway honestly. Just felt it bears mentioning when you said it shares such lofty company as Breaking Bad for you The author, Makoto Yukimura, has done a number of other things, but probably is most well known for an old sci fi anime called Planetes. It’s very existential, sort of like Vinland in a way, but very different at the same time. Might be worth checking out if you like his stuff, but I’ll be real, this isn’t the kind of thing that will get you views, so maybe just peep on your own if you’re so inclined Thanks for tying up loose ends fellas. Thats why yall the 🐐
