Now I feel like I understand Arlong 100%. I really feel where he is coming from and my hate has now been replaced by something else. I don't really feel any strong emotions for him any more. I know him. That's the world. It's always some one who turn out like that. If everybody was educated and knew eachother, that would be world peace. And yes, the lessons of One Piece are VERY against Globalism. The World Government is the epitome of that ideology. If you support Globalism in any way, shape, or form, then you are completely missing EVERY warning and lesson that Oda has been trying to beat you over the head with for the last 2 decades.

Yes there are over-arching themes in One Piece about the corruption of people in high power and justice being taken too far but that's not what this arc is focusing on.

They are at risk from the Government. This may cover themes of racism, but the ultimate lesson in One Piece is about the dangers of Globalism and large government, and about the value of freedom.
