Exactly, you said it best Dous Dous... And next episode is another example why I still love Garp... I get it.. we understand it. Some ppl may not like the decisions made...but it makes for a great story... Imagine this arc being finished so quick because Garp decided to save Ace early.... We would never get this development with Whitebeard, the commanders, Oars, Hancock, Crocodile, Ivan, Jimbei and so many more etc...it'd mean nothing

Exactly. I think cause we follow the Strawhats that we forget that pirates are an actual problem. Ace has bodies to his name, Marine bodies at that, Garp can’t just play favorites when one felon/killer is family when he’s been dropping notorious pirates for decades. That’s like goin to court and the judge lets the killer off cause he’s family. He always told them to know what they signed up for with the life they chose
