right it's easy to forget but actually only the people will die from sunlight not the zombies, they can only be taken out by the salt. the reason they stayed in the florain triangle is because it is miles of shadow so when they left the people on the boat and let them sail out on the sea they don't die when they wake up in the sunlight thus killing the zombies.

Ace said that last part out loud. He basically ends with “HAVING YOU HERE IS SO EMBARRASSING TO ME.” It’s more obvious in the dub because he’s still yelling at him. I think Ace was desperately thinking that if nothing else convinced him, Luffy might back off so Ace wouldn’t feel disrespected? But Ace is already in chains in front of everybody and is literally waiting to die, so that ship has sailed, lol.

Oh one tiny thing, due to the one piece anime pacing being a lil slow it looked like Luffy was just... charging forward with no plan to Kizaru's obvious beam attack In the manga it seemed more "instant." Kizaru is charging while Luffy is running, Ivan death winks, and then BOOM- Just a fun thing to observe.
