The husband never thought he’d have to go against his wife.. so now that she’s gone he killed himself… cause maybe at the time with the marble game she made him win last minute. . Cause I think if she won, she’d kill herself too because he’s gone. So either both win or both die together

He was overwhelmed with grief and guilt. You don't always know how a decision will affect you until after it's too late

Rewatching it with you guys i just realized he may have found a loop hole lol remember if they cancel the game, the survivors wouldn't get money (normally) but the family of those who died would...in his special case though, he would still get money bc his wife died. So he had two options: trying to win and risk dying OR convincing the others to quit and he would be the only one of the survivors to get money lol still don't like that he killed himself though, what a waste
