What I mean, they attribute it to scenes, which clearly are not "fake outs". For me, this scene with Hachi wasn't ever that, nor do I think Oda intended it to be this way, so it's odd to see people fooled by it. Charlos shot him in a non vital area, and exclaimed that he captured "a free fish slave", after he did the act. And people in OP do tank pretty savere injuries. Pell situation this is not.

And it happens so many times it can get to the point where you can't take any situation the straw hats get into seriously. My only complaint about one piece
