The folks call him Ushiwaka because it's another name for legendary commander Minamoto no Yoshitsune, who used to be called Ushiwakamaru in his youth: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minamoto_no_Yoshitsune There's lots of legends about Yoshitsune's past, like how he defeated this previously undefeated warrior monk called Benkei, after which Benkei pledged his allegiance to him.

I played basketball my whole life and watch a lot of it and football but only played volleyball at like, picnics. And watched some beach volleyball too. But maaan, I love how they teach you the game while still making it enjoyable to watch. And they straight up "get" the best things about competition. There's not even bad guys. They make root for the teams our boys about to defeat. So good man. I look forward to your ssn 3 reaction. I won't even tell you my opinion because I'd hate to bias you in some way. I just appreciate how they build on the story from the very first episode till now. Enjoy guys, and I hope Hus's son is doing well and Heat's mom is recovering ๐
