Saul died with a smile just like Roger. That’s all he needed to do to qualify as a true D

LordBaryon

Lmaooooo

Ur worthy 🀣

Taylor Simon

aokiji is his codename in the marines, all the admirals have one, since kuzon wasn't an admiral during the flashback, he didn't have the codename

Adrian Lara

lol hus trippin at the end XD

Stephen

Hus was straight ignant this episode I could had died laughing

Chris D. Jones

Hus out here trying to take people's D card...pause

Astro Travelin

Facts

This_is_Patrick

Aokiji (ow-kee-gee) is a code name for his military rank guys. His real name is kuzan.

Preach Natee

great stuff!

Justin Saramosing

D doesnt mean strenght since as kids, they were still D's

DANIEL PEEDAH

Hus you tripping brother. Aokiji ain't NEVER been one to play with πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Calico Mack

This video was a hit. FIRE episode. Fire edits. Fire reaction/discussion. I hope this one hits on youtube... but man OnePiece always seems to deliver thematically.

TheBigOne

Man that 'Say you want to live/I want to live' with the musical cue? Always a tear jerker. The emotional payout after seeing Robin always play her cards close to the chest, staying secretive and mysterious from day one just trying to survive--to finally cracking under the weight of all this pain and helplessness to ask simply to be with her friends is everything. EDIT: Hus we gotta box lmao I posted this before the discussion at the end--the SLANDER, sir. The SLANDER.

SibilantWhisper

another awesome reaction :D

Allram

earning penance.... damn we got different views on this :D is all i'm gonna say

Allram

So many incredible moments in this ep! Realising the true weight of Robins predicament. Luffy stepping up as a captain. Sogeking/Ussop earning penance. The whole crew proving their unwavering loyalty to eachother. Robin breaking through her trauma and accepting her nakama.

Go-to Guy

Hus, Aokiji is literally ice. Nothing Saul could have even tried would have done anything to him. If Saul took a swing, boom, frozen. Plus Saul was trying to get Robin off the island safely. The only option is to run. There's also another reason that you'll find out later on. When we see Aokiji in the flashback, he's super uptight, irritable, high-tension, yelling at his crew and shit. We we see Aokiji in Water 7 with the strawhats, he's laid back, indecisive, and kinda lazy. It's pretty clear that Ohara changed him. As mentioned before, you'll find out why later on. Relevant to this, there's a scene in Strong World Episode 0 that will clue you in on this even further. Bottom line, Saul died with a smile on his face. That's Will Of D right there.

hurryupmode

One of the greatest Moments in Manga/Anime. Period. The way this whole backstory was orchestrated, Sauls last Words to Robin, Luffys unbreakable Determination and his reading of Peoples Hearts "SAY YOU WANT TO LIVE!" , the Light emitted by the Straw Hats in Robins Eyes and then the final Outburst with "I want to live". This is a Masterpiece right there Eichiro Oda.

Ali Bektas

Hus, that was a bad match up for Saul. Giant strength don't matter if your frozen. Like how electricity don't work on Luffy because he's rubber.

Ash

Hus is certainly tripping, but I love how passionate the discussion was at the end from both sides.

ChaosPudding

hus a hater fr. SAUL GOAT

"Sogeking. Shoot the flag." That's the REAL giant D energy y'all were talking about But yeah "this guy is abnormally strong" is some real shit. Saul knew he was taking the L

Austin Yun

Even after all the many insane episodes to come afterwards. This is still my favorite moment in the entire series that I look forward to the most. It hits every time. Love the end discussion.

Levy

Hus is tripping this timeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Kudos to Heatah for standing up for a real one. Saul was a gotdang Vice-Admiral! Tossing battleships like footballs. Also a couple others have said it but Kuzan is his real name. Aokiji just means β€œBlue Pheasant” it’s a Japanese mythology thing

Dakota Day

Theres no throwing hands with Aokiji at this point either. Mans is entirely ice, one punch would've still lead to being entirely frozen. Chances are, Aokiji was just drawing it out cause Saul was a friend, he said he respected Sau'ls decision and convictions but he can't just up and leave him behind

Dous Dous

What a great episode : )

Preet

quality upload

Joel

lol I think the moment Robin said that she wanted to live, CP9 was done for. That's what the strawhats were waiting for, confirmation that she wanted to be saved.

johnel

This is my favorite moment in all of One Piece so far.

ChaosPudding

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚bruh Hus no way you cooking Saul

prod

This episode always hit everytime

The discussion was so funny! Legendary episode.

Paranoise

For real bro, Usopp didn’t even think twice

joshnojoshua

This episode is basically showing the aftermath of One Piece's version of a nukeβ€”a super sad episode. I can watch it plenty of times and still feel the impact. They even removed the normally played music during the intermission to convey the devastation.

Amazinshooter

the voice acting on robin in the last scene of the episode is so powerful

ZaaZoJo

fire episode!

Karheem bamboo

Also Fun Fact (Guess maybe) but the Tree of Knowledge may be inspired by The Library of Alexandria which was also a massive library occupied by researchers and it too burned down.

Razzledazzle314

Of all the thigns I expected from the day they reacted to this I wasn't expecting 10 minutes of Hus trashing Sauls name.

Able

True, although his only other alternative was to kill her with everyone else. So I think his decision was really all he could do at that moment.

ParanoidAndroid17

That saul slander 🀣🀣 "We ain't see no D powers"

Coolguystorm

The D comes in many forms not just physical actions *pause*

MojoJojoGojo

This episode always makes me feel some type of way about Aokiji. Telling Robin to live a quiet life was an impossible request. The world wouldn't let her. And shoutout to Saul. Hus be tripping lmao

I love that

The argument over who is worthy of the β€œD” tho is hilarious 🀣

Razzledazzle314

Hus really gotta stop with the slander lmao

SuperiorSpiderBoy

This is such a powerful episode. From Robins β€œlaugh” as she floated away, telling her to find friends, her yelling her wish to live. I was crying just like Franky lol Also, for all the cowardice of Usopp, in this episode when Luffy told him to declare war on the entire world, with no hesitation shot that flag. Props to Usopp. πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

ParanoidAndroid17

Obviously one of the most famous scenes in One Piece, great every time I see or read it. One note about the small cut of Zoro unsheathing and then resheathing his sword near the end (this wasn't shown in the manga): this is thought to be a practice from Feudal Japan known as 金打 (kinchou). Two swordsmen would clank their blades or hilts together to signify that a pledge or oath has been made and must be upheld (women would clank mirrors together). Since Zoro can't really reach Robin in the moment and she isn't a swordsman, Zoro improvised by clashing his hilt against his scabbard, declaring his oath to bring Robin back safely. Also props to Sogeking for not hesitating a second in shooting through the World Govt flag.

Jeffrey Xue

This isn't RTTV brother. They the goats you don't need to say shit like this. Let them watch and figure everything out. Not a spoiler just unnecessary.

Young Netero

bro Hus tripping, Saul was a goat. Vice Admiral that realized the corruption and evil of the world government, couldn't stand it, got Olivia out of jail and went against a buster call for Robin to survive, the only person that can read the poneglyphs. My guy was hella influential, just cause Aokiji's a literal monster dont mean Saul's any less

joshnojoshua

LMAO yall killing me!!

John Gibson

Saul unlessed Nico onto the world, so he's pretty influential.

Prince Mochi

omg im crying again. i love this moment

soraya

This moment never has any less impact no matter how many years pass or how far along the story has gotten

Av

nothing in that trash English dub was delivered better than these Japanese voice actors. let them continue to be real anime fans and let them watch the show as it was meant to be in peace. not a translated version, that's like someone watching avengers endgame and saying oh Tony stark says "I am iron man better in dutch"

Jordan Horn

not all the way through the video but i'm sure you figured out the basics of kuzan = aokiji but just as a one piece nerd i have to make it clear: kuzan is aokiji's real name and "aokiji" is the code name given to him when he became an admiral. all three admirals have a real name and codename. aokiji's code name means "blue pheasant"

I got goosebumps again

I gotta admit that line β€œI want to Live” from Robin was better delivered in English Dub

Kickinthescience

lets go!!!

Nate Deezy

>30 min vid its gonna be a good one

REMEMBER MY NAME SAKAZUKI!! Also I knew y'all couldn't hold back those tears

MojoJojoGojo

Yall just made my day!

Young Netero

WAITING FOR THIS EP FROM DAY ONE BABY!

joshnojoshua

Yes! One of my top 5 moments in all of One Piece
