Like how it's "gao" for a lion, "ukiii!" for a monkey (which Luffy did once against Don Krieg after Krieg called him a monkey), it's typically "sha!" for a shark (sha sha sha). So when Arlong goes "SHAAAAAAA, ha ha ha"... it's a pun in its own way. One Piece has more puns per square foot than anything else.
