I think around episode 12 or 13 is when Roswaal knew and was fully on board - you saw him smile in the castle. That's probably why he has to tell Beatrice "I am that person."

First she acted seducing, then she tried to act powerful, and then what both didn't work she tried acting like a normal person to get information out of Subaru She even said she's a very evil magic user She's probably not complete evil but she is 100% not a good person
