Better writing? I haven't watched or read re Zero, but I just looked up the premise. Reincarnation manga/light novels/anime have been over done for the last 10 years. If you read the One Piece manga, you would know that the story telling is so much more compelling than what you see at face value. I'm not even going to argue about Naruto because it was my childhood, but from a story standpoint it sucks, it's just a battle manga/anime. Every island of One Piece is like a new world to be explored and take in. In terms of story, themes, moral, characters, villains, world building, etc. it is unmatched. Taking into account every aspect that makes a story. Of course there are some aspects that can be criticized, but no novel or manga is perfect either. Long story short, One Piece is in another realm in it's medium (manga). It would be an epic (using the actual definition) if it were in a novel format.

Re Zero has much better writing and also none of the shows you named are down to earth if anything Samurai Champloo is more down too earth and realistic than any of the other stuff you named. Again another reason why I can't take most anime fans seriously, they don't even know what they are talking about most the time.....

I mean I guess demon slayer and re zero is kindve like what I'm talking about but still lol

2020-08-11 14:12:36 +0000 UTCYeah i would watch one piece a little at a time growing up, but that isn't the proper way to watch one piece. The proper way is to binge watch it and enjoy the journey imo. One piece just doesn't have the strong antagonists and iconic fighting scenes that naruto has

But you just met one of the realest ones in the show and I think you'll enjoy him if you stick with it. You thought Mugen and Jin were dope swordsmen? Shiiiiit. Can't wait to see more, I like how quickly yall pick up on homegirl doing her thing in th background as well.

Coincidentally I stopped right before arlong park. Then only this past year I decided to read the manga and watch the anime again and I can’t believe what I’ve been missing out. Arlong park is great but my god it just keeps building on itself. This series has some of my favorite characters and world building. Straw hat crew is the best squad.

2020-08-11 03:27:22 +0000 UTCLuffy and Zoro my two GOATS Side note: there's a meme among the anime community that tries to make fun of One Piece fans - "One Piece fans be like keep watching it gets good around episode 500" - but the truth is most One Piece fans agree that the Arlong Park arc is the earliest and most common hooking point of the show (which is around the 30 episode range) So if you guys aren't emotionally invested in the show by around episode 36, I'd say you shouldn't feel pressured to continue the show if you don't want to. Views are important but your enjoyment/happiness should take priority imo. Besides, if you do drop One Piece you could always replace it with Naruto. You already saw how close the Naruto vs One Piece poll was so you know your patrons would be down, and Naruto also does really well on YT so it's a viable replacement for sure.
