And yusukes mom had a dream where yusuke was in demon world with a club all that, And one of the closing credits has Yusuke in demon world with club over his shoulder. 3.) Yusukes Hairline is literally horns. 4.) During togoro fight, yusukes energy pulsates red and blue after kuwabaras fake death that powers yusuke up. 5.) the phoenix foreshadowing in togoro fight. 6.) The duality that Sensui is a Human and Yusuke is a Demon - fulfills the ying and yang.

Some people say it’s random but even so I really like the turn the series takes here. Togashi got a way of writing that is just fun as hell to watch unfold. Also I cracked up when Hus yelled “PUU PLAYS”

To combat ultimate pure justice that does not discriminate whatsoever (eliminate ALL humans, including myself) - you need evil. No humans are 100% pure and we need to embrace that there is a side of us that consists of some vices as well - that is being human. Yusuke embraces his saucy side whereas Sensui is only concerned about purity - segmenting all of his negativity into different personas, segregating them. He can't accept humanity for the complexity it entails, which is why as Koenma said - a simpler mind that doesn't think about it too much like Yusuke, can be perfect for accepting the imperfection inherent in the human being. It's actually poetry now that I'm thinking about it in retrospect. Also remember that Puu was born from Yusuke's energy/soul - so it stands to reason that when Yusuke fully matures and unlocks all his energy, is also when Puu would fully blossom. Puu was never fully grown up. This is his mature form. And also, Koenma said that depending on Yusuke's soul - whether he acted sinfully or in a good manner - Puu would grow up to become an evil demon or a pure angel-like creature. Well, Yusuke's soul is technically a demon's - and Puu is essentially a monster/demon, it seems - Puu still grew up to be virtuous at heart. Both Yuusuke and Puu are still fundamentally good people. It's quite nice. There's some silly scenes in the anime too and a bit of lack of foreshadowing but man all of the above really reminds me why I love Togashi
