*Payment method adjustments*
Added 2024-10-24 11:27:02 +0000 UTCDear members, due to some changes that the Patreon platform is going to make for its new agreements with iOS, the payment method will change in the month of November.
Apple is pushing Patreon to use the subscription billing model to apply a 30% fee. This will only affect new subscriptions purchased from the iOS app, not old subscriptions.
My recommendation.
For anyone new who wishes to join, please DO NOT join through the Apple app. Join through the web browser version.
How does the new method of payment work with rewards?
Current members will continue to be charged on the 1st of each month, but new members will be charged on the same day they join each month.
October rewards will be delivered at the beginning of November, where current members will be charged. I will deliver the rewards for the month of November at the end of the same month, so as not to mess you up with the next month's collections.
This means that those of you who are members now in October and will be cashed out in November, will receive two rewards packages with one payment (if I understand correctly). New members who subscribe during the month of November will be charged on the same day of their subscription.
Summary
Before, you would become a member during a month, and you would get the rewards of this month when you would be charged at the beginning of the next month.
Now you will be charged over the course of a month, and receive this month's rewards at the end of the month
The polls will now last the whole month.
