Jotaro only has 2 seconds within Dio's time stop, but Jotaro can stop time too. So he stopped time after Dio's time ran out.

2019-10-28 00:23:22 +0000 UTCYeah so I think Jotaro stops time when he (or star platinum) can sense dio’s stand near him he doesn’t have to use his time stop all the time he just used it defensively in a smart way bc he was being underestimated, he pretty much outsmarted Dio. Or at least that’s what I think happened lol
