I couldn't of said that any better. Ed learned from his mistake but the dwarf in the flask never did. I hope they see this.

Ed sacrificing his alchemy ties to the central message of the story. While the protagonists treat Alchemy like science, there's also a very mystical, spiritual aspect to it (as seen in The Truth, and the existence of the portals of truth). Ed realizes that the source of strength for the human race isn't science or religion, but in the bonds and communities that we form together. Hohenheim himself tells Father back during the flashback in Xerxes, "We live for the bonds we form with friends and family members, that's who we humans are." Hundreds of years later, Father still never learned that lesson, always relying on alchemy, his only true allies being the pieces of himself he used to form the Homunculi.
Speaking of communities, its been wild going through this series with y'all. Loved watching you guys theorize and pick at the story, it really showed your dedication to the craft and made the reactions hella enjoyable. Looking forward to enjoying the last episode with you bros and the next series for sure.

'God' or 'truth' in this show appearance is like a mirror. Maybe its a play on 'god created us in his image' or maybe not. Hahahh. Nice reaction as always. Btw, next ep watch the whole ending song.
