"I have a very good explanation for all of this... if you wouldn't mind just maybe not pointing that gun in my face? It's really all just a simple misunderstanding. You see I go to school near here, and um, I got lost? And then I saw this place, and um, you know, I... gosh... curiosity has always gotten the better of me, so... I'll, um... just be, uhhh, going? If you would be so kind as to um, maybe just um, give me my purse, I'll ahhh, see my own way out? Or um, you can keep the purse! Yeah! I, ah... I've been meaning to find a reason to go to Michael Kors. I can just go this weekend. So uh, yeah... what do you say... ummm... maybe you'll let me go?"
Brilliant, Hannah. I've practiced that speech over and over again in my head. I can't say it delivered the smoothest or most formal in actual field use. But then again, I never practiced it with a gun in my face!
