An excerpt from Emily Lockwood in The End of Her World (the thrilling conclusion to Season 3 of the Emily Lockwood CYOA stories) by the unmatched talents of MarkusJo. If you haven't read them, do it NOW! Seriously. There's like 15 of them. And they are amazing!
Beneath the water you start taking slow breaths with your supply of oxygen. You blink beneath your mask, adjusting to seeing through the thick plastic lens. Then you start kicking your legs, using the flippers to propel you through the water. You can see the thick metal supports of the oil rig in the distance, and you begin swimming toward them. Your hair is tied back, it floats softly behind you as you swim. Your body takes on an ethereal quality beneath the water, your legs shimmering with every flutter of your feet. You head down a little more as you get closer, not wanting to be caught by whatever sensors they might have around this place.
As you go deeper you see a sunken ship on the ocean floor, it has a bunch of jagged holes in the rusted metal. You look down at it as you swim past, not noticing that you're no longer alone down here. You glance up and freeze, your legs stopping as you hang weightlessly in the water, a terrified look painting your wide eyes. You can see a dark shape swimming toward you, a faint line of sharp teeth and beady eyes. It's a shark. You tremble in fear, cursing your bad luck, you've only been down here for only five minutes and already you're being hunted. You have no idea what to do.
