He was a thug, a ruffian type, that immediately made her blood run cold. The kidney punch had been with his left hand. And Dawn had turned just in time to see his right hand, his dominant hand striking her in the gut!
"Acccckkkkkknnnmmnnnnnggggnnn!" she wheezed, sputtering, and gasping for air that was forced out of her without warning.
Dawn's wobbly legs already weakened by the kidney punch folded under the pressure of this new attack, the very force of it sending her backward and down. The ruffian drove his fist home while catching her flailing arm in his free hand and steadying her descent.
Dawn's eyes were seeing white spots from the shock.
