She was always so matter-of-fact, stand-off-ish even, as far back as when Kim and Ron were actually dating. Beyond adopting a daughter all of those years ago, she never stuck Ann as being a perfect parent or wife either…a career-focused woman, spending most of her time tending to other people’s money at Middleton Bank and Trust.
Sitting in her breakfast nook and wearing only a pink, fuzzy bathrobe, Ann takes a sip of her morning cup of Java, blinking at the cryptic text message on her phone: Coffee? The last time she’d gotten an invite from the Stoppables was when Ron and Kim broke up…just before he went into rehab. The time before that…when Uncle Walt and company pulled up stakes in Middleton. What earth-shattering event could have happened this time?
