Summertime - Preview

Every year, like clockwork, Peg knows it’s almost summertime without even consulting a calendar. Without fail, Pete gets out the brush and pail, scrubbing down his pride and joy. As soon as the kids are out of school for the summer, he’ll have the boat in the water every chance he can get.
Peg too has to prep for the upcoming boating season. Not so much with helping to get the vessel ready, but rather, going through her swimwear collection to see which ones still fit or have gone out of fashion, weeding out the ones that won’t turn any heads. String bikinis, one-pieces, tube tops, and cutoff jeans shorts combos…Peg lays out a dozen or more across her bed, trying them on one by one.
Some of them, however, she just can’t decide…opting instead to defer to her husband. Walking out onto the balcony, she calls down to Pete…beer in hand, her man diligently scrubbing and polishing away.
Peg: How about this one, sweetie?
