Chihayafuru Season 2: Episode 6 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

This was SUCH a tense (in a good way) episode! I love that Taichi finally won out and used a gamble in a good way against Retro-kun! And yesss, Taichi should play up the “creepiness” of his memory as intimidating! Do it, Tacihi! We’re rooting for you! I love him as a character and I see a lot of myself in Taichi as well! That’s why I want him to turn things around and root for him! He’s a slow burn character for sure with development, but I’m sure it will be satisfying later on as we see this guy bloom. And yesssss, I feel the vision for Taichi and Chihaya is potentially there for me, but I also really love the vision of Arata just trusting Chihaya (and Taichi *coughcough* that ship too *coughcough*) - all the visions now! 😀Something for everyone! Chihaya was FIERCE this game and I really loved her and her focus! I really can’t wait for the eventual rematch between her and Shinobu - but our girl still has a lot of work to do first! And yessss, I’m so glad she contradicted Amakasu! It was being noble, but shows she’s gaining a voice and speaking her mind and contesting and I love it! It made me love her character even more. Dr. Harada’s blush at all these new members joining was so precious! I love it! And Sumire stepping up; we love to see it, too! I agree, Sumire being inspired by Chihaya is great! I could see a crack ship with Chihaya and Sumire, but it’s “ironically” one-sided because Chihaya doesn’t seem to notice Sumire as she doesn’t notice Taichi! AHAHA…we shall see, though, right? Thank you so much for the comment!

Hello Can you plz edit that last sentence. Romania really doesn’t want to know what we may learn or know later, even if it’s hypothetical. Thank you 🙏🏼

Gosh this episode had my heart thumping. I ADORED the fact that Taichi ends up taking charge of his luck-of-the-draw match and impossing such stress and pressure over Retro-kun that he force him to make a mistake and took the match like that. I can't help but agree with you that being able to do that is something that Taichi should take more advantage of, especially since we had that one scene at the end of the game against Hiroshi's team where Hiroshi himself mentioned that Taichi having memorized every card that has been played is "creepy", a.k.a. intimidating as heck. You made me realize something with this commentary, and that is that yeah, Taichi is a negative person always drowing on the bad things that are happening or could happen and needing a bit ot be able to reboot and do something about it... and maybe I love him so much as a character because I'm the same and always need of a more positive person to get me out of my negative spirals, and make me start actually doing something. Is it the best trait to have? No, no it isn't; but I love the way that this anime is presenting it with Taichi, as not an unwillingness to do something, but as a rapid descent into bad thoughts that need someone or something to break the spiral and reel us out. After many episodes, I can now say that I see why people ship Chihaya and Arata, and I might ship them a little bit myself now. Arata just getting how Chihaya would feel and not even asking how the tournament went, if they had won and where going to nationals, because a) he is confident in Chihaya and Taichi's abilities to be able to get there, and b) he knows that just winning isn't what is going to be the most important for Chihaya, so he asks the right question. I see it. I see the vision now. The way Chihaya played this game was amazing and I enjoyed every second of it. She was focused and relaxed to the very end, and played a magnificent game of precisition and speed that, I think, can take her far against the likes of Shinobu. When Chihaya contradicted Amakasu on that last card I was initially so happy and excited, because that is something that she hadn't been able to do against Yumi, and essentially handed her a couple cards because she didn't content them. And then I saw what she was actually saying, how they had touched them at the same time, and my jaw hit the floor. It was a very admirable thing to do, and something that took a lot of courage; and I love Chihaya for having done iteither way. Tsukuba and all his little brothers joining the Shiranami Karuta Society didn't come as much of a surprise, as that was the next natural step to follow for them; but Sumire doing it was, so early into her karuta career did shock me, in a good way. I love seeing how inspired by Chihaya Sumire is becoming. She joined the club for a hot boy, Taichi, but what if she stays for a hot gitl, Chihaya instead? xD All the begrudging admiration that Sumire has been having of Chihaya of late have certainly gotten my shipping radar and heart interested, even though I very much think they would a crack ship for me xD

9 months have passed Chihaya had a karuta baby - Best line I've heard all week How do you create a match that seemingly has no stakes exciting? Well you create personal stakes for our characters. I love Chihaya's growth I feel like a proud mom the same for Tsutomu and Taichi this episode. Dont worry Kana is included but this match was chef's kiss. I wouldnt be surprised if we learned later on that while Sudo wanted to be a reader for beating Suou he became even more invested after losing to Chihaya. I think in terms of being captured or being swallowed up I think Chihaya is to Sudo what Arata is to Chihaya a little bit there's an obsession and a fascination. It reminds me of Chihaya seeing Arata as water washing over her. I think one consistent thing that the author does writing wise at least from what we've seen from the first season till now is that Taichi has never lost to Retro. I dont know if that's going to continue but I guess Taichi is Retro's Achilles Heel at the moment. This is his third match overall against Taichi that we know of. I do like Taichi being inspired by Chihaya and thankfully not spiralling his way to a loss. Taichi's anxiety gives me anxiety lol. To be fair to Taichi one moment of realization does not mean poof insecurities permanently gone but hopefully he'll get there. I cracked up when you said Taichi is letting the ship sail by he's missing a chance to farm aura and to farm the ship. I see someone has levelled up their slang. I wasnt familiar with your game. If we had to describe Taichi's fear response it's freeze like a deer in headlights if you know the reference. Im so happy for Dr. Harada getting more children to guide and inspire. I do like how we tied in season 1 flashback stuff at the end and I love that moment between her and Arata.
