Hahaha, only halfway through the season and everything is TOTALLY NORMAL. I was so proud that Okabe chose the “sensible” route to keep his friends safe…it’s just so sad it’s too late! But yeah…I’d like to think that he’s not too far gone…well, at least for THIS episode. But at least they were all for turning the TLM over at the time…now, though? Well, I had my theories, so we’ll see where that goes! There was so much foreshadowing but it just amped up the DREAD for us as the viewer and it was really effective. I feel bad for Okabe but yeah…they’re all icarus, indeed. Oof. Let’s see where this goes! *cracks open Dr. Pepper* Thank you for the comment!

2025-10-30 03:19:37 +0000 UTCAnd we're finally here, episode 12, where nothing even remotely terrible happens and everything is just happy and fun xD Coming back into this series I realized, very early on, that I remembered close to nothing about it, but this episode is one of those that did stick with me. I really appreciate that Okabe decided to not continue with the experiments and took a route that seems the most sensible considering how far they had gotten already. I mean, it is, unfortunately, too late now to course correct, but it gives me hope that Okabe is not just too consumed by the experiment. And it's not only him, but Kurisu as well. I mean, Daru I can see been cool with stopping at any point, he might have been invested but not overly so. But Kurisu was as into it as Okabe was, if slightly more hesitant at times, and yet she also agreed that it was time for them to stop. No, yeah, now that I'm older, I can totally see the tons of foreshadowing this episode dealt. But, I mean, the show has been dropping foreshadowing that something big was going to happen for a little bit. And, even if it was well telegraphed, my heart stops every time. I do feel so bad for Okabe, who genuinely wants so bad to protect and help his friends, and then have this happen in front of his eyes, with most of his friends threatened, and Mayurii being shot. Awful stuff. Buuut, it does set up for an interesting second half of the season xD And I'm here for the ride.
