I don’t know if our area had at one point a large Polish population, but I remember getting out of school for Pulaski Day up until high school! Holidays like that feel so randomly applied in states! It is mind boggling to the idea of how much information is out there and it’s more than we can ever consume. “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys was playing reading your comment haha!! Honestly, authorship was one of my favorite topics we discussed in Graduate School - shows like this make me want to go back to school, hahaha! Maybe one day! Life-long learning is always something to strive for! So thank you! Honestly, to go back in time to save documents that were lost is such a great endeavor - I’d be down for that! That’s so interesting about the Roman Dodecahedron! Thank you for the links! Yeah, brain rot is VERY hard to describe and is almost so abstract that it’s difficult to say into words when it honestly…has no meaning! I love the concept of reading and writing and how it separates ourselves from other mammals and species on the earth. Yes, if you want to make someone small, don’t let them learn to read and crush curiosity - THAT is truly the travesty of our time! There was SO MUCH to talk about in this episode! Thank you so much for the kindness and the support - this series gives me hope each week and honestly makes me want to learn again! A love for truth…is always something to strive for! Yes! 2025-10-12 19:28:51 +0000 UTCI spent my early childhood (‘70’s) in Oak Park Illinois and I don’t recall Pulaski Day at all! Maybe we had it and I just didn’t understand it. Who knows. God of the gaps drives me crazy! If we do not know an answer to a question, “I don’t know” is a good answer and an honest one. God does not have to be the default answer. The vast knowledge that we have accumulated with modern medicine and technology is incredible. It is too much for anyone to understand it all. The average person will have those gaps. There will always be someone who knows or is doing the science to find the answers. I think what you said about creationism is spot on! The Bible tends to be static. We bend the world to fit the book. Loved the discussion on Authorship. I’m so glad you bring these points up in your review. I often think about all the ancient knowledge we as a species have lost to time. To have a time machine and go back to save the documents in the library of Alexandria! It was hard for me to explain. I think I said Skibidi toilet as an example. They had no idea what I was talking about. I know it when I see it, it’s hard to describe though. Reading and writing are what make us unique among the animals. Language itself is not unique. It’s the transmission of abstract ideas that transport you to another time and space, Jolenta is absolutely correct. Oczy can see the truth of what she says. Although sometimes you need a Rosetta Stone. If you want to make a persons world very small, make them illiterate and crush their curiosity. I was all over the place with the topics this episode. This series really does give one hope and touches on subjects that people need to rediscover and examine in their lives. A love for the truth, no matter where it may take you.
