It's the penultimate episode and in true fashion, this show does not follow convention! Yoshiki is still trying to get to the bottom of "what" Nonuki truly is; meanwhile, "Hikaru" is slowly despairing that his presence is more harm than good....all the while admitting he just doesn't want to be alone and wants to belong...but is that possible for an eldritch monster?

I hate that Hikaru has taken that monster label to mean himβ¦itβs sad. And yes, I think that way that Yoshiki chose the monster because it was something he connected with. I can so see the Megamind connection! I need a doujin where the two of them watch it together! DOOMED YAOI DADS - ugh, too real. It was so sad when Yoshikiβs dad said that. :( And yeah, angst all around! And THE MOUNTAIN OF UNRESOLVED FEELINGS feels too subtle and kind, but so true!

2025-10-03 13:46:53 +0000 UTCthe guilt hikaru feels... he has really taken the label "monster" to heart, whereas earlier in the season, he didn't seem to really identify with it πππ i wonder if yoshiki as a child, already identified with the "monster" characters because he already felt different in some way even when he was youngπ It's funny because when you were talking about this, it brought up the movie Megamind to me with the somewhat similar themes.. maybe yoshiki would like to watch itπππ also.. doomed dads yaoi for real ππ Yoshiki's dad saying "felt like everything good disappeared with him" really tore up my heart, especially considering we saw that hikaru's dad was still alive when yoshiki was a younger boy.. (ep 4 i think) π saying "everything good disappeared" when yoshiki's dad already had a wife and child at that time... ouch.. angst all around.. π they should just call kubitachi mountain "the mountain of unresolved feelings" ππ
