Season 7 is giving us new characters, new developments with current ones (Kishimoto this go round), and stunning animation and heartfelt moments that are really cementing this season as the "coziest" Natsume's Book of Friends season, yet!
This episode had so many boxes checked off for me that I didn't even think this series could! Let's talk about the green flag that Kishimoto is in this one!

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! I love Kitamoto getting focus in this cozy, autumnal episode! He really is so sweet and considerate - I love that Natsume has a friend like him! CRAP ON A STICK - that’s equally as dated and hilarious! XD Kaeda in this episode was kind, too, in helping the shop owner when she couldn’t watch the store. And the idea that she didn’t have “time” in the same way was a neat perspective that we haven’t seen as often with the yokai! Thank you - oohhh these next few weeks *sips tea* are going to be fun!

Absolutely agree about the wonderfully cosy vibes of the episodes. 🥰 Kitamoto is the sweetest bean – thinking and worrying the papers may be a ‘prank to hurt the store and the owner.’ 😆 A pretty low-stakes prank it'd be, I feel, considering he doesn’t know about the yokai element. The "Oh, drat" in the dub was "crap on a stick." 😂 Most of all love Kaeda in this episode and the fact that she would come out while the owner slept to protect the store. 🥰 And also, she had such an interesting perspective, saying that reading is a hobby for those with time. I think we’ve more often seen presentations of yokai who have all the time in contrast with humans but for her things were quite different. Looking forward to next week! 💙
