I cannot believe we're already to the end of Trigun: Maximum's manga! WHAT an ending and I love that the spirit of Vash and the series wasn't lost to the darkness - Nightow, we should have known we were in safe hands with you!
I am SO happy I finally was able to read the manga with you all -- and now we just have the hiatus until Trigun: Stargaze...but if it's anything close to the quality of this manga, it will be worth it!

Thank you so much! This volume….I cannot believe we’re caught up now! GHOST!Wolfwood just slayed me in this and I’m almost more amazed at Livio living (totally would have bet money he’d die) than how many times we saw Wolfwood’s spiritual vestige - also in denial with Elendira not being here anymore. 🙁 Vash in the darkness and Knives in the light is such a play on their character and what they represent! And yes, the darkness tying to the burdens Vash carry and what Knives “scrubs off of him” is so well done and worth evaluating! And yessss, “dying is easy, living is harder” mentality between them! Vash “suffering to understand” just makes me love him so much! And him getting to be back to the wily shenanigans with Meryl and Milly?! UGH, LOVE IT! I’m so glad that you all joined me to read Trigun Maximum - it’s if anything gotten me even MORE excited for Stargaze and nowww, I can combine my knowledge from Maximum to the conversations and discussions as well! AND YES, it’s a free for all with the fandom and fan art because I can’t be spoiled until Stargaze comes out so YAY! Huzzah!! Thank you so much and 2026 should be a fun time!

I had so much anticipation of despair for this final volume and am so pleased with how things were wrapped up! 🥰 Various things I loved: “The ultimate Vash pose is him crumpled up in a heap” 😂 All the ghost!Wolfwood appearances 😭 Cannot believe darling Livioooo survived – so pleased with that. (Just gonna pretend Elendira did, as well. 😀) I think my favourite aspect of Maximum is the consistent presentation of Knives being bathed in light (and then later bare and “pure”) vs Vash in darkness. The weight of the things Vash has to do, the responsibilities he carries – all added layers of that darkness. I view this as showing that ultimately destruction and nihilism are easy; what must be done to protect others from that desctruction is hard. Vash suffers in order to try to understand. I am so glad that this ended with him getting to ride off into the sunset with Meryl and Milly. This has been such an amazing series of reactions and discussion – thank you so much for going through the entire Trigun and Trigun Maximum manga. 🥰 Now I really cannot wait for Stargaze – especially knowing the kind of discussions that’ll be coming with Stampede/Stargaze team not being afraid of hardcore remixes. I love that! And I’ve found that I really enjoy manga read-alongs. And there is So Much Fanart to look at now that we're all caught up with the source. Looking forward to an amazing 2026 with more Trigun and then Stargaze! ❤️
