And yeah, the mangaka just letting us know how we shouldn’t cry every episode - easier said than done! Aoi was such a fun addition to the cast and I like that this season, Natsume has had characters ribbing him - but also pointing out how kind Natsume is, like you said! And Madara showing off to Aoi and gaining his praise! All according to plan hahaha!! Thank you for the comment again, and so excited for this coming episode!

Really loved how clearly the responsibility Natsume feels towards the yokai in the book was verbalised. And Reiko crumbs are always so appreciated. What was especially funny to me was the special note about the mangaka’s ‘aim’ for the volume – for Natsume to get better at not ‘taking every encounter to heart.’ Definitely not the lesson I’m learning as I tear up for every damned episode! 😂 This was such an interesting episode! Love Aoi ribbing on Natsume with the ‘you finally noticed’ – but it’s also another wonderful illustration of Natsume’s kindness. Madara consistently showing off in front of Aoi (the potential supplicant) was hilarious. 😂 Excellent discussion – especially loved the point around Kaoru’s behaviour being an example of yokai behaviour we’ve seen. Looking forward to next week! 💙
