This episode has it ALL, y'all: tension you can cut with a knife, a flirty detective Zhou Zishu, reveals and surprises, battles, and of course: a boat load of angst to spread on top! I was fangirling and all over the place gushing with this episode! The censors are still on vacation and I'm thankful for it!

I wondered if the antidote was the same as what was used prior, so I agree! And yeah, fun that it comes back in this episode! And oooohhhhh that CWN moment! OH WOW, that makes so much sense!! I love that connection - thank you for pointing that out! Zhou Zishu being a detective is so funny to me! I love it! Even by your comment, it shows the rewatchability of this series and I love it! I love the idea that ZZS is like, “AH SEE?!” with WKX admitting he knows about the long-tongued ghost! I’m so curious to see what that storyline will eventually lead to! But yes, WKX really isn’t good at lying to ZZS at all…his weakness! 😛And yes, he doesn’t want to lie to him! :3 It’s actually kind of sweet, but I love how ZZS gets a sassy gleam in his eye with it! And I love how consistent detective ZZS is with his moral character - DANMEI BATMAN! 😛<3 One of my favorite iterations of ZZS so far! I like that he’s learned and wants to be supportive of WKX and give him his space. I also love that he lets Shen Shen have it, honestly! And it shows his support of WKX in the process! He definitely needed to hear it from SOMEONE - because GC and ZJ weren’t going to say it! Hopefully it will do him some good! The way that ZZS wiped away WKX’s blood, that was such a good detail you brought up! I love protective ZZS as well! Thank you for the comment!

The trauma has made him hotter, what can we say?! 😛 I love Zhou Zishu asking Shen Shen to not say the dead name - we love to see it! The fight scenes here and the bonding with the characters made this such a fun experience! And yeah, Gu Xiang not letting her wardrobe hinder her fighting ability - I love that this series lets us have our cake and eat it too with that! Thank you for the kind words and comment! I also greatly enjoyed the fight scenes here, and all the little bonding character moments that came with them. Something about our girl being able to kick ass all while wearing such a pretty outfit, you know? Thanks for another video! I really enjoyed your discussion this time around

2025-07-01 11:39:01 +0000 UTCI assume the antidote ZZS give to Shen Shen is the same one he used on himself and WKX when they first encountered the Drug men back in episode 5 and 6. Funnily enough, back then, WKX asked ZZS if he came from the healer valley because he had so many antidotes lmaooo. I think it was the first time healer valley got mentioned in the show too. But yeah, it makes sense that an assassin like ZZS keeps these things on his body. Talking about healer valley, back in like episode 12, when ZZS "lied" to CWN that he is dying, CWN told ZZS that Gao Chong knows the three heroes of the healer valley, so Gao Chong may have some connection to help him. And he mentioned this right in front of WKX, who still despised Gao Chong. I did not imagine CWN score points with WKX lol. This show's rewatch value is insane. I have not rewatched anything else as much as this show. The long tounged ghost is just so funny. You can see ZZS immediately go "👀" in that scene when WKX mentions him. But he does not interrupt WKX, he waits for him to finish, talks about something else, and THEN he brings up the long tongued ghost. I have to admit when I first watched this scene I had no idea what they were talking about since I binge watched the show and a lot of details just flew by lol. It's even funnier when you remember that after they first encountered Long tongued Ghost, ZZS asked WKX about it. WKX pretended to mistake him for the Hanged Ghost. When ZZS disagreed, WKX was like "ooooh YOU know so much about the Ghost Valley, A-Xu". You could see how ZZS was not satisfied with WKX's answer back then, but he did not press him on it. So now, when WKX slipped up and mentioned the Long tongued ghost out of nowhere, ZZS has that glint of naughtiness in his eyes when he confronts him, it feels like some kind of revenge for back then lol. I really like how agendratum on tumblr put it, so I'm just gonna quote them: "zhou zishu: “now there is only one thing left wen kexing: “god, remember that long-tongued ghost?.. … sorry, what was that thing you said? zhou zishu, a comedian: “well, now there are two things“" They also commented on why WKX slipped up: "and the thing is, wen kexing isn’t bad at lying. oh he’s good at lying, he’s a good actor and also a smart guy. he’s just bad at lying to zhou zishu. because he doesn’t want to lie to him! it’s a nice reason, it’s admirable. so whenever he can he deflects, uses metaphors, exaggerations, poetry, suddenly gets really serious but still avoids answering the questions directly. and whenever he can’t or just forgets, cause he gets so comfortable around a person who truly knows him, the long-tongued ghost situations happen." Like you, I also extremely enjoy Detective ZZS in this episode. It's like his skills and experience doing assassin work in the court pay off and find new meanings here. You notice how he tells WKX not to kill all the enemies in this episode. I assume it was to take information from them. Back when WKX killed the long tounged Ghost, he asked the same thing "Why did you kill him? We could have integorated him for information". He also tried to figure WKX out but never pressed for information, probably does not want him to run away like last time. He maintains a careful distance, but is also immediately protective of WKX in front of Shen Shen, like jumping between them when they first meet in this episode, and does not correct Shen Shen when he thinks WKX grew up with ZZS in the four season manor. He may not have all the information, but he was suspecting WKX already, so he is building an alibi for WKX before he even knows what he is building it for, and just letting Shen Shen believe that. It also serves to let Shen Shen keep talking and reveal the information he needs. He is the driving force in figuring things out in this episode, and handle everything very well (probably since they do not involves him directly lol). God I love this man. Despite telling WKX "don't let hatred blind you blah blah", he mocks Shen Shen and tells that the five brothers got what they deserved for leaving WKX's family to suffer. I mean I love Shen Shen but he does kinda need to hear that, for still being blinded by his brotherhood and defend Zhao Jing . He is a kind person deep down, but he needs to open his eyes to see the truth now. I already freaked out about the tenderness ZZS showed WKX when he fainted in Discord, so I won't comment on it much. But aaaaa the way he immediately wiped WKX's blood with his sleeve despite hating blood on his clothes, and held WKX tighter when he said sorry. The protective Shixiong (senior brother) mode is on!!
