*LOVELY HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

It's the penultimate episode of the series (if you can believe it) and Noriko and Kazumi have to deal with the fact that Earth's time has passed much faster than their trek out in space...but time may be running out, as the space monsters have found Earth and are converging to destroy it! Can Gunbuster save the day again!?

GUNBUSTER: Episode 5 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Yeahhh, I wouldn't have a problem with it if she were 20 but 17-18 is cutting it close especially for me in my 30's - I could not imagine myself now dating a high school student. At least in my culture, there are a lot of red flags and predatory concerns potentially there. I'm glad your parents have had a healthy marriage, but there are a LOT of relationships and dynamics that have had dangerous conclusions, so I think it's justifiable to have a viewpoint of caution. I'm glad that there are stories of love that works out there and I'm not saying there aren't, but I am saying I personally don't approve of it from my standpoint - no offense to your parents; these are just my opinions and it's fine that we have them. Thank you for the comment!

According to one of the story writers coach is in his " early 30s" when the series starts. So its more like a 12-15 year age gap. BUT, i personally dont have a problem with this trope since that would be kinda hypocritical. My mother met my father when she was 17 and he was 31 and they been happily together for over 40 years till his death a few years ago. So these kind of relationships can definitely work out. Especially since according to my mother it was HER who pursued HIM and had to convince him to give their relationship a chance. Nowadays there is always this prevelant opinion that the older person is "grooming" the younger one. I wont deny that this stuff happens for sure but you just cant sweep all those relationships under the same rug of prejudice.

Thank you for the comment and kind words! They really pack SO MUCH into each episode, don’t they?! It’s wild, but understandable when you have only 6 episodes to work with. Huck was being so nosy during all this hahaha I didn’t even notice him back there at first! The Gunbuster scale was WILD! The exit door in the hand was a creative touch! Kimiko was GLOWING – adulthood looks great on her! Yeah, some ickiness with the “you’re 27” when…she’s NOT…was worth the commentary for me. I still did like the episode so much, though! And the way that Noriko and Amano have grown to support each other is so wonderful! And seeing how much Noriko has grown and how it’s shown in this episode is so great - I loved seeing her shine in this penultimate episode! Thank you for the great words and it’s wild to think we only have one more episode of this series! WILD!

Loved the reaction and discussion! Another episode where just So Much happened. Various things I loved: The scene of Noriko and Amano being the only graduates. Huck investigating the new shelving 🤣 Seeing more of GunBuster’s scale – love the exit door in the hand Seeing Kimiko again! She looks amazing. “Some creative storyboarding was involved” 🤣 Yeah, the entirety of the ‘that’s not what her birth certificate says!’ vibes is icky to me. Noting all of the nonsense in the discussion was much appreciated. Also love the progression of Noriko and Amano’s relationship where Noriko is now able to be the one to support Amano and get her head back in the game. Which is so well linked to Noriko seeing how differently other people perceive her now. She is an authority, and I like the way this is contrasted with the way Noriko sees herself, even if she is more self-assured as a pilot now. Looking forward to next week! 💙
