Season 6 is on a roll so far and this episode just keeps it going! Natsume is hesitant to get involved with an important yokai who is looking for his former student -- the theme callbacks, the showing of Natsume's growth, and the emotion you come to expect from Natsume's Book of Friends - this series is aging like a fine wine and I'm so here for it!

This episode was soooo good and yes, paralleled Natsume’s experiences expertly – Natsume knows how his friends are motivated by food! 😛 Ever since someone suggested the midranks are an ‘old man yaoi,’ I cannot look back! 😀 Thank you for the kind words - I definitely agree that there’s the possibility that the exorcists are just creating business for themselves, which is….INTRIGUING to think about at the least! I am SO excited about the episodes I’ve seen so far for this season - it’s just SO good!

Another masterful episode which showcases parallels to Natsume’s potential experience so well. 🥰 Various things I loved: Love how Natsume knew the immediate shortcut to redirect the boys’ attention – the promise of a burger! That would work on me. 😂 “Quit making out in the bushes mid-ranks!” 🤣 Madara’s actually excellent drawing skills and how so much of the episode itself was about ‘drawing,’ even with interstitial frames. Completely agree with everything in the discussion around how massive it is for Natsume to make decision for his own benefit! Also, the point around exorcists creating problems due to the ignorance borne of their methods and outlook on yokai. And I wonder for how many exorcists there’s also a layer of just drumming up business. Looking forward to next week! 💙
