DanDaDan: Episode 12 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

*MALE BONDED HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

You mean...we end the season on THAT Cliffhanger?! Thank GOODNESS Season 2 is not that long of a wait, because the suspense is going to be BRUTAL after this episode!

Good news is that I'm warming up to Jiji, loving how this series is talking about male friendship and relationships, and excited for what's to come with it all in season 2, but man...leaving Momo in that situation was NOT fair! Is it summer yet?!

Thanks for the comment! The mods flagged that there could be some theorizing close to spoilers, so I sadly can't read it but I guess we'll find out what's going on very soon in the summer! I can't wait! :D Thanks for all the support!

Right?! I get that it was probably just a cour that was the halfway point of the season, but making us wait until SUMMER to get the next episode is cruel! Cruel Summer? :P Let's hope not! Hahaha, but I will be rooting for Momo and Ken this summer for sure! Thank you for the comment!

Ken is such a smooth operator, that "lint" move right after Jiji did it and just yelling right out about cryptids on the train, real subtle. Momo could be the one to confess first but perhaps for his growth as a character Ken needs to be the one to do it first. Speaking of the "lint" incident, i think it's there Jiji realizes Ken is on love with Momo as he does a really interesting face looking at Ken. It might just make me wonder if he at the end is more just messing with Ken than espouse any real romantic feeling for Momo. And as another aside it would perhaps make a more interesting love square if Jiji fell for Ken instead of Momo, πŸ˜‰ not to have to many preconceived notions but seems to me he could be batting for the other team (wait, is it a square if all other parties in it are all only into Ken?). Hey, hadn't noticed it before but that must have been a Mongolian Death Worm on that magazine, right? Perhaps we will meet one of those in the future, and as they didn't have to go to Scotland to see Nessie they might not need to go to Mongolia for this one. I don't think those people are aliens, even if they superficially resemble the alien disguises they seem to be genuinely creepy perverts (but perhaps still in some way supernatural), while the Serpoian aliens seemed more clinical and nonunderstanding of sexuality. And in their scenes it was played more for laughs and the show felt it ok to sexualize Momo in a way it didn't do at all here, creates a very different tone that makes them seem fundamentally different to me. Although they could just be a different kind of aliens that are like that i guess.

What a weird and unexpected place to end the cour! It feels so cheap haha, but it was a great time! I'll be here rooting for Momo + Ken in the Summer!

This season finale had me gasping, much like you, because it does NOT feell like a season finale with the way things end. It is very rude of an ending, indeed. Jiji is the oddest basket case, I think. I still haven't decided how I feel about him, being an anime only, but I do agree that I think Aira and him would get along fantastically, and would probably make a good couple. Momo wanting Okarun to have more friends is the sweetest thing. She knows that he has issues making friends, so she gives him the space and time to develop more of a relationship with someone she knows is cool, while they are also in a situation that makes them have to interact. Yet again, Momo shows just how smart, and emotionally intelligent she is. Okarun is definitely still very shy and has a long way to go before I feel he's in a good place to start a relationship with Momo but, that being said, he did do an effort on being more vocal and proactive with his feelings and interactions than I feel he would have before. He's brash, and awkward, and doesn't know how to go about them, but he is trying his best, and I think he'll get there in good time. The whole deal with whatever-the-heck is going on with Jiji is very disturbing, but also so fascinating. Why is he the only one that hasn't been cursed by these spirits is a question that's being going on around my head lately, or maybe it's more that he has been cursed differently? I don't know, but I am very curious to find out. Season 2 is bound to be wild, that's for sure, and I hope we can have more of the friends in it, because both sets of friends, Aira and Momo's, are hilarious an iconic.
