Oh, there is SO. MUCH. going on in this episode! I put on the tinfoil conspiracy hat as we meet Asebi, who is...more than meets the eye! But oh, there are QUESTIONS after this episode and I can't wait for the show to give me answers!
Meanwhile...Laios has to do some more rescuing and I am loving his character arc in this! Meanwhile, we cook some risotto with mushrooms and OH, how DELICIOUS this week turned out! Let's go!

The HORROR of throwing the food - right?! Never let Senshi see you waste any of his cooking! I didn’t take Marcille as “possessing” Falin, but rather thinking of something that was precious to her that she loved - or at least, that’s how I’m selling it to myself at the moment. Oooohhh, this RGU crossover!! *wrings hands* Honestly, you and The Immortal’s comment above relating the egg and the chick to the world with the metaphor in RGU is so good! I love it! I also agree that Marcille would just keep talking and bring the conversation back hahaha!! FOR FALIN - I believe that 100%! It so works and I’m here for it! 😛 Also, YES, the risotto was DELICIOUS! 2025-04-12 03:11:06 +0000 UTCWhen Asebi throws the food on the floor in disgust, the horror from everyone's faces was perfect, Senshi totally ignores all danger from the demon, just to lecture more, it's so great! Nice noticing little Marcille's Falin doll in the nightmare too, I thought it was cute but if it's symbolizing Falin as a possession it isn't that cute after all! Ok, listen. It HAD to be done. This episode gave us, no handed us, the groundwork for a Dungeon Meshi x Revolutionary Girl Utena crossover, so here we go: Down on the sixth floor of the dungeon we find Marcille talking about how the dungeon's magic works to Asebi, only to be interrupted out of nowhere by a mysterious new party! A red-haired man arrogantly states a strange proclamation Marcille was not familiar with, and the rest of odd, but fashionably dressed party continues! Marcille: "The soul is often likened to an egg. Normally, it's nestled inside a shell we call flesh-" Touga: "If it cannot break out of its shell, the chick will die without ever being born." Miki: "We are the chick-" Juri: "The world is our egg" Marcile: "Ok... continuing on; but once the flesh is broken the insides spill out and can't be put back in again." Nanami: "If we don't crack the world's shell, we will die without ever truly being born." Saionji: "Smash the world's shell." Mysterious party together: "FOR THE REVOLUTION OF THE WORLD!" Marcile: "FOR FALIN!" It works I tell you! 😊 Another solo cooking success! I'm going to have to try this recipe - it's comprised of everything my daughter loves most - rice, mushrooms, cheese and garlic haha. Interesting how making something you're familiar with but then basically removing one of the main ingredients like water changed the outcome! Enjoyed the reaction and discussion!
