Star Wars - The Gray Jedi - Chapter 5 - Talking 02.

[Chapter Size: 1900 Words.]
Third Person POV
Bracca.
...

...

The spaceship continued through hyperspace as they talked in the middle of the ship. Cere and Greez stared intently at Cal, while Prauf remained silent, though his expression showed he didn't quite grasp the nature of their conversation.

Cal's purpose was to find the children, locate a planet for training, and eventually retaliate against the Empire in a few years. But he knew he would need more than just these people to help him; he would have to gather many, not just the rebels, but the scattered Jedi across the galaxy.

There were many more tasks to handle, like developing enough technology to directly confront the Empire. But that, he would consider in the future. For now, the goal was to first find the location to start searching for the Holocron.

"How do we know you're not lying?" was the doubt hanging between them. Cere and Greez did not trust Cal, and he couldn't blame them for it. "You could be planning to betray us when the time comes..." Greez said.

"I've said things that no one should know, you can trust me or not, honestly, I don't care beyond a ride to the planet and until I can get a ship, after that we can go our separate ways..." Cal spoke calmly. After all, despite revealing all his information, he would act independently.

"..." While Greez was at a loss for words, Cere frowned.

"You're looking for the children... who are in the Holocron?" she asked.

"Yes, we need to assemble a powerful force to face our enemy, you can trust me or not, I intend to act regardless." He said.

"..." Cere was silent again as she stared at Cal with tense eyes.

"Fine. Let's go to the planet you mentioned." She finally said.

"Wait Cere... You can't be saying..." Greez argued.

"We have no other choice Greez, let's trust this... whatever he is..." He said at the end, after all, if Cal is going to act, then she had to trust him and his intentions, whether true or not.

Cal just nodded, as it would indeed be a much shorter time having useful allies at this moment, Cere, Greez, and others could help a lot. "Alright..." He said.

"I hope you don't kill us..." Greez commented despite muttering and turned back to Cal, still with cautious eyes. "Then welcome aboard the Mantis, this beautiful ship, I hope you don't touch anything on it!" He said in a presenting tone.

His gaze then shifted to Prauf, "What are you doing!!??" He saw Prauf tinkering with some buttons curiously.

"I..." Prauf tried to speak but was interrupted.

"I told you not to mess anything up!" Greez said angrily, making Prauf shrink a bit.

"Greez, can you plot the course to Bogano, we're going after the Holocron..." She said, as Greez shrugged but started heading to the cockpit at that moment.

"And you, I'm watching you!" He again pointed at Prauf and Cal sighed.

His gaze returned to Cere who was staring at him. "You said you use the power of both the dark and light sides... how can you do that, it's impossible not to be corrupted by it..." She remarked.

"I don't know how to explain it further but I've had this ability for a few hours, I can't control it well yet, but I plan to learn more and I don't feel the dark side affecting me, it's like I'm free to use it..." Cal spoke with a sincere and calm tone.

"..." Cere remained silent, but her gaze returned to the saber on Cal's waist.

"It's blue... as you saw... but I will need another saber, after all, my stance is with two sabers but that will happen as soon as I find another crystal..." He said.

"I understand..." She said and remained silent, still unsure how to proceed with this stranger.

"You miss the Force..." Cal didn't ask, but he felt it.

"I've committed some unforgivable sins... The Force is no longer with me..." She said with a very somber tone.

"Prauf, are you going to stand the whole time?" Cal turned to his friend, still standing, setting Cere aside as he addressed his still insecure companion.

"Alright..." He said, sitting down, still perplexed.

"Stay calm, we're about to embark on a great adventure across the universe..." He said, trying to soothe the alien...

In Cere's eyes, she seemed to trust Cal more after seeing this interaction, as it appeared that Cal cared for the creature despite it seeming ordinary.

Cal turned his gaze back to Cere as they continued their conversation. "You can regain your strength, and I can help you." He spoke calmly.

Cere looked at him surprised, a glimmer of hope shining in her eyes. "You can?!" She asked.

"Yes... but I need some time, I need to train my strength and delve into all my possibilities and abilities..." He said.

"Alright..." She nodded, her look renewed by this, perhaps having contact with her powers in the future, as Cal was anything but normal.

"I need to meditate, can you provide me with a space?" Cal asked and Cere nodded.

"Follow me." She stood up as she led him to the back of the ship, past the cabins, and directed him to one, while Cal nodded and sat down as the door closed.

Carl looked around the room. The place was simple, consisting only of a bed, an adjoining bathroom, and a nightstand. There was a good space in the middle of the room, about 1 meter, but enough for him to start his meditation process.

The first thing he did was change. He was still wearing work clothes, so he took a shower, cleaned up, and then put on some clean clothes that had been provided for him.

Then he sighed and went to the center of the room, sitting down while crossing his legs, resting his hands in front of his solar plexus, and closing his eyes.

The place he was in vanished... He found himself in the middle of space while Cal seemed to have his own body there floating in the middle of nowhere, not until something shone in front of him and expanded, becoming larger and larger.

He understood the Force in a different way, or at least now he could see it that way. He saw the Force taking shape, like a gigantic nebula with two colors: a red representing the dark side and a blue representing the light side.

As he watched both colors interacting with each other, side by side, clashing and blending as if they were just one body. Like any nebula in the universe, it was a beautiful sight to behold. While he stopped to look and contemplate all that vision.

'If I want to control this... I have to get used to dealing with it' He thought as he began to approach.

He could only access this power superficially, but still, he would have to train a lot to access the deeper powers. Like a body in the middle of nowhere, he started to move towards that energy, he raised his hand and began to place a finger in that cosmic cloud... in the middle of it, where the two sides met at his finger.

As soon as he touched it, he felt himself being sucked in quickly, which surprised him and made him unstable, even losing control and trying to get out immediately, but he was stuck with just a finger. He quickly tried to use the Force, but still, the energy seemed to want to pull him in, and he felt that if he let this happen, something very bad would happen.

He didn't know, but hours had passed since he found himself in his cabin. Prauf, in the end, had ended up bonding with Cere and Greez, answering some questions about what he knew of Cal, speaking honestly about the young man, despite finding him a bit different since he woke up on the train.

Now they were playing a board game, at least he and Greez... playing a classic game where monsters killed each other with higher attack scores, while Cere stayed by the side, but not participating as she pondered various things.

"You've got to be kidding! You can't be playing like this!" Greez couldn't help but comment, frustrated. "How can you be so good at this?!" He said, annoyed.

"You see, we used to play this a lot back in Bracca. Cal was never much into these games, but I sure made some money off our other friends at the scrapyard..." he commented, making another move, eliminating another one of Greez's cards, who was becoming increasingly frustrated with the streak of losses.

"No, no, this can't be happening," he exclaimed, throwing the card to the ground in anger, after all, he had lost some money betting there. However, the card didn't hit the ground; in fact, as soon as it left Greez's hands, it simply started to float.

"Hey, what's this?" Prauf remarked, surprised.

"It's not just the card!" Greez murmured and pointed to the other side of Prauf, where a type of box had also begun to float at that moment. Cere quickly looked, stunned, at that object and around the ship soon after, several objects had started to float at that moment.

"What is that kid doing?" Greez said immediately, already knowing the obvious reason for this strange event.

Cere didn't say anything, just quickly stood up and went towards the cabins, while more objects began to float along the way.

"I swear, if that kid breaks anything on the Mantis... He's going to pay!" Cere heard Greez exclaim behind her as she went to the back of the ship.

As she approached the cabin where she had left Cal, suddenly there was a burst of force, shaking the entire ship at that moment as it almost destabilized in hyperspace, the entire cabin exploded at that moment, throwing Cere backwards without her being able to react.

She fell to the ground and was shocked by it, she wasn't hurt and saw Cal in the middle of the destroyed cabin, uninjured, floating a few centimeters off the ground, while still maintaining his meditative position with his eyes closed, oblivious to everything he was causing with it.

There were still more objects being affected by the force around, and that even included the wall he had destroyed. "He's losing control!" she said quickly and approached, touching his shoulder quickly. Meanwhile, Cal was trying to make the utmost effort to extricate himself from that nebula representing his force.

He felt Cere's touch, and that was his cue to finally pull himself out of that situation. After a great effort, he managed to remove his finger and opened his eyes at that moment, looking a bit surprised as he began to fall from his levitation.

Cere's gaze went to the place, or what was left of it. "What happened?" he asked, somewhat surprised, looking at all the devastation.

"You lost control. You almost destroyed the entire ship," she admitted, as Greez was already approaching, grumbling and cursing at Cal.
