Third Person POV
Konoha.
...
...
Several days had passed since the chaos that occurred in Konoha. The news that Danzou had escaped seemed very concerning to Naruto's father. Since Danzou had extensive knowledge of the village's secrets, and it seemed that his alliance with Orochimaru was a major problem and uncertainty for the village.
Naruto's mother seemed to be swamped with work, changing all the barriers of the islands while they hunted down remnants of the Root. Jiraiya would go after Danzou, but there was another more urgent issue: who was the ninja who had saved half of the Uchihas and killed all of the Root? Whether a hero or a villain, one thing was certain: he was a potential spy and threat to the village until his real identity was discovered, because a small man who moves like light is at least at a Kage level or close to it.
Meanwhile, the elders had to lose their positions due to their involvement with the Uchihas. Minato finally managed to rid himself of those fools who always seemed to want to be in power in the village and above the Hokage. Of course, he didn't want something like this, but no one cared about his demands.
The Uchihas learned the truth about what happened and wanted the heads of the remaining elders, but in the end, they saw that it was due to their bloodlust that they were brought to the point of being massacred, and it was pointless to take revenge on the village now, even though they still harbored resentments. Of course, the real event was not disclosed to the rest of the village, and everyone thought that Itachi and even Danzou had joined forces to exterminate the clan, with both escaping.
In the end, the Uchihas moved closer to the center of the village after Minato demanded they occupy an empty plot to leave the place where the massacre occurred. The police force had to be filled with other clans, and the Uchihas were left out for a while, since, besides having only chuunins and genins as ninjas, they needed a license.
Naruto knew all of this and just thought about it a little before letting it go. He had nothing to do with it and couldn't do anything about these events. The only thing he did was try to save a people being massacred. He escaped from his Anbu in the Namikaze residence and continued walking around the place. People sometimes noticed him, even having other more shocking matters to talk about besides looking at the Hokage's disabled son, they still maintained a look of disdain, since until recently, Naruto was treated this way.
However, he felt something strange; he was being followed from a certain distance. "Who is this, I don't know..." Naruto murmured as he continued walking.
He kept walking and left the center of the village with the pursuer still on his tail. He ended up going to a place he had been the last day without caring about the person. At this location, Naruto found Rock Lee training.
"Lee..." Naruto announced his presence.
"Naruto!" Lee exclaimed, seeing Naruto as he prepared to do push-ups.
"Why are you here? I didn't think I would find you here since you are still in the academy." Naruto said, since at this time, his sisters were in their classes.
"Yes, but I skipped. The classes we have today, I usually skip to train with Guy-sensei's training," he said, scratching his head.
"I see... So why don't we train together, I can help you," Naruto commented, ignoring the pursuer at a certain distance looking at him intensely without knowing that Naruto had already identified him.
"That's great! We can show our power of youth to Guy-sensei!" Lee said cheerfully.
They started the training with push-ups, Naruto had done 800 by the time Lee completed his 200.
"I can keep going! Let's do 500 now, Naruto!" Lee exclaimed, straining for another session without knowing that Naruto had done four times more than him in the same time that Lee completed.
"Okay..." Naruto commented, following Lee and picking up a huge rock, placing it on his own back, doing 1500 push-ups in the time Lee did his 500 while his arms burned and trembled.
The person spying on Naruto choked, seeing the boy behind the other, oblivious to Naruto, while lifting and lowering that huge rock.
"That was amazing!" Naruto admitted with a small smile, his workout had made him sweat.
"Let's continue our training, Naruto!" Lee seemed excited as they went through various training sessions, with Naruto appearing inhuman while Lee struggled in each exercise. Naruto got carried away with the training, finally finding someone who enjoyed physical training to train with him.
It lasted for hours, Lee remained oblivious to everything Naruto did, and Naruto's pursuer became increasingly shocked. At one point, Naruto bid farewell to Lee and went to a lake in the forest.
He sat as he did when he was with Sora and began throwing stones into the lake. He looked back and spoke loudly and clearly. "Are you going to keep hiding the whole time? I've felt you following me all day, but you're not a ninja, so I wasn't worried, but it's getting annoying..." Naruto commented, and this made a shadow emerge from the forest.
It was a girl who approached Naruto cautiously. "Why are you following me?" Naruto asked without even looking at the girl.
"Because you saved my life." The girl commented, and Naruto finally looked at her.
"You... Well, that's understandable." Naruto commented, looking at the girl, since she was the Uchiha girl he had prevented from being killed by the masked man and Itachi at another time when she saw him without his disguise.
"You don't seem very scared that I know who you are, Naruto Namikaze." She said, looking at him carefully.
"Why would I be, you're just a brat." Naruto shrugged.
A vein popped on the girl's forehead, but she held back. "Why..." She asked something that had been bothering her the whole time.
"What?"
"Why does everyone say you're the useless son of the Hokage and you don't seem to care about that, I saw what you can do, it's ironic that I heard many people laughing and mocking the Hokage for having a chakra-less son in my clan, when half of the Uchihas were saved by the same person they were ridiculing." She said, wanting to solve the enigma of why her savior was so poorly viewed in the village when he did something no one else could.
"I like having a simple life, my abilities may not be very well-regarded in this village, so I prefer to be the useless son of the Hokage and do things without people creating expectations about me, I'll have more freedom that way, but of course there are things that irritate me, I don't like being treated like a piece of glass, other than that, I can live peacefully." Naruto commented as he threw another stone into the lake as he stopped looking at the Uchiha.
"I still don't understand..." She admitted.
"Of course, you don't, but one day you will." Naruto shrugged.
"..." She stood there just looking at his back as he threw more stones. "Can I sit next to you...?" She broke the silence.
"Yes." Naruto said.
"You saved my life, I owe my life to you..." She commented, sitting down next to him and looking at Naruto.
"I never thought I'd hear that from an Uchiha... aren't you people all proud?" Naruto raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know about the others, but my civilian mother always taught me to be thankful for the help of others," she commented and continued. "When I saw that man killing her in front of me, I never felt so much hatred, I awakened my Sharingan at that moment, but I thought I was going to die, however, you appeared like a super-fast light..." She said, letting her admiration shine through in her tone in the last words.
"Well..." Naruto was a bit embarrassed by the girl's sincerity. "You don't owe me anything, I just did what was right," Naruto spoke.
"But that's not right, you should be a Hero. Everyone should know that..." She insisted. "They asked me about what I saw, but I said nothing about who you were and as a child, they didn't see my mind. But still, you should be recognized..." She commented.
"I don't like that, I would have to explain many things and concepts that only I understand... so I think it's better for me to stay anonymous," Naruto laughed and shared his thoughts.
"But..." The girl seemed more insistent than Naruto would like to deal with.
"Shouldn't you be in class?" He asked before she could continue.
"All the Uchihas were let off," she said.
"I see..." Naruto said and picked up another stone.
"..." The girl just watched Naruto throwing the stone.
"Can I ask one last question?" She said, watching the stone skip before sinking.
"Depends, you're not going to insist on me announcing that I was the one who killed several ninjas that night?" Naruto said calmly.
"It's not about that..." She said timidly.
"Then what is it?" Naruto looked at her.
"Can you make me as strong as you, can I become your apprentice?" She asked with black eyes shining in expectation.
Naruto looked at her for a while and then returned his attention to the lake before sighing. "My answer is... No." He simply said.
