I'm sorry if I got Sugimoto & Shiraishi personalities wrong, I literally watched a clip from S4 where Sugimoto was drowning and Shiraishi tried to give him the "kiss of life" to save him, but got a punch to the face instead xD
Sugimoto is based after a Sailfish and Shiraishi is after a purple clown fish.
Astarion is based on a shark, cause go figure, shark smelling blood etc but also because the particular species called the 'Spinner shark' like to charge at their prey with teeth baring as they grab them and spin. I wonder if Astarion would be like mermaids from old, using looks and song to lure in prey to drown them 🤭

2024-05-27 02:33:17 +0000 UTCYeah, the level of manservice and homoeroticism is off the charts and the way it balances the goofiness with a surprisingly serious story is pretty great. It's criminally underrated. And I'm guessing the hot springs scene is the episode where the characters spend a good chunk of it running through the forest naked.

2024-05-27 02:24:12 +0000 UTCTo some extent, yes. It's a pretty goofy show. Would highly recommend it. It's one part semi serious semi historical fiction, one part ainu cultural appreciation, one part batshit absurd comedy, and one part bara fantasy. Haha. Love how they turned out.
