Come dance in the dark depths!
Added 2024-05-22 15:00:12 +0000 UTCIn the suggestion box we had two lovely people request some Merman Dabi/Touya, it's been a hot minute since I've drawn this man and originally it was just going to be one sketch, but then I fell down a rabbit hole of coming up with a backstory which ended up being;
That Touya was born with Mer-Rei's physique (in 2023 I drew her based on an Angel fish) and Mer-Enji's colourings, but as he grew and started to be more like Rei (more white scales) he started to train in the deeper depths of the ocean, going closer and closer to the forbidden trench in the ocean, until one day, he never came back.
AFO comes across Touya in the ocean trench, "saving" him and fusing him together with an octopi/squid creature in order to make his adaptability higher, and giving him the ability to control blue ink and regenerate limbs.
Years later Dabi appears again infront of his family, they no longer recognize their long gone, long since mourned family member, until the black ink get stripped from his hair to reveal white locks.
