Sorry I'm a little late with this! Those on the Thorny Rose tier know that I recently had a small emergency which delayed their tier exclusive art, which in turn delayed the art for this post, so my apologies for it all taking a little longer. (Sorry for the essay of a post as well ><")
January, boy, January was something, many say that this is a decisive month that can paint a picture of what perhaps the year will be for an individual and if that's the case, I am screwed in the art department then, cause I struggled this month with art. It probably didn't look like it since I tried my best to work around it, and there are pieces that I am really proud of that I did this month, but something is off, I can't tell if it's burnout, artblock, or just a weird art funk but there was almost this odd constant dissatisfaction with my art, which had me spiralling to figure out what is the problem; surprise, I still don't know.
But everyone was wonderful, and you all are so lovely leaving hearts, and comments, and we even have some new people who joined! Which welcome, welcome, you'll find all my old endhawks art in the 'Endhawks' collection tab :)
Plans for February are to get the patreon & etsy merch off for printing/making, so soon I'll be sharing some WIPs of those and sending out emails asking who wants to get the free merch.
Other things on my list is I want to work on making a Digital PDF Sketchbook Zine of all my Endhawks art from Jul 2022 - Dec 2023. The sale for it will happen either in February or March, I haven't started putting it together (there are over 100 pages of endhawks art) so I have no idea when it'll be done and on sale. The idea is for it to be on sale for a limited time and then close it, because I want it to be fair to you, my patrons, who always have priority viewing of all my endhawks art, because of your support 💖
I want to do more anatomy studies going forward (I know some will be boring to see when shared), and to maybe, start sharing some original art as well. I've been sketching some original art but have felt too timid to share here, so I want to try to find the love in doing that kind of art again.
And yeah! Lots of things always in the works, but I'm also trying to be realistic with myself because of that weird art funk I've been in and in real life commitments, but also can't be too lenient with myself either. Always a balance.
Thank you again for another month of art! Let's keep drawing the path forward on this art journey! 💖💖💖
