Shibari Life Drawing sketches
Added 2022-09-18 02:06:34 +0000 UTCAbout 2 months ago I pre-booked a class at a kink studio for a one off life drawing shibari class, I thought it would be fun and a new experience (one that I could put onto my tax next year haha). I ended up dragging my ex-manager from my previous workplace along as she also is an artist, so we just made it a whole day hangout.
The class was interesting! It has been 4+yrs since I've done life-drawing, and it's been...months since I've drawn a female body, so I struggled hard. I'd say the only sad thing was we could tell that this class wasn't entirely thought out, so the guy made the most detailed rope-work be the last pose which was only a 15min draw, made it hard to really appreciate the ropework and also study the way the body got pulled and squished cause of the rope.
The model was very nice though! She allowed us to take photos of the poses so that we could study them later which was really nice of her!
So as you can see, my sketches aren't very good xD afterwards I told my ex-manager "i'm questioning if i'm a decent artist now haha" as a joke, cause of course when you have 2mins to draw a full body it isn't gonna look detailed and amazing vs the sketch you took 1hr to do at home.
