Hannibal is used to playing nice with cops. Especially this cop. Graham grokked Hannibal's instinct for troublemakers early on, and since then he comes by a few times a month, sniffing for leads. Hannibal makes a lot of effort to toe the line between the law and the lawless; wealthy men and women rarely have clean hands and wealth is necessary to maintain status. Hannibal is used to playing nice with criminals, too, though he doesn't like any of them nearly as much as Detective Will Graham.
"I've been looking for a dancer," he suggests with a smirk.
Graham pauses. His partner, Katz, pipes up from down the bar, "I can do it. I took pole dancing classes last year, it was fun!"
Hannibal doesn't let his frown show. "I need a male dancer, unfortunately. It's a depiction of Artemis hunting with her hounds."
"All that for stripping?" Katz says, popping an hors d'oeuvre in her mouth. Hannibal twitches. Oh, if Mischa hadn't made him promise...
"I'll do it," Graham says, and Hannibal forgets Katz entirely. "If it gives us eyes on our guy."
"I'll consider the schedule carefully," Hannibal says, hiding his eagerness. "It will depend how much training you need."
Katz chuckles. The corner of Graham's mouth lifts. Hannibal feels a little like he's been had.
"Guess who I took those classes with?"
I debated whether I liked Hannibal as a patron or owner of the very fancy strip club but then I thought about cop Will going undercover and punting Hannibal straight in the dick with his secret skills owo
