Devblog (end of August)

Greetings!

As usual, this is the time for the monthly Dev Blog, where we share our progress and future plans.

First, it is safe to say now that the "technical update" that we talked about earlier is a change of engine to Unity. This may seem like an odd decision given that we recently released the RenPy version, but it is absolutely essential for the game to look exactly as we plan it. RenPy severely limits our work with animations and camera effects, and is also not particularly suited for point and click elements. Therefore, we would like to change this now, while we do not need to port much content.

Secondly, now we have one more person in our team who will deal with translations. Starting with the new version, there will be much fewer grammatical errors in the English localization, and we will also begin to correct the text from version 0.1.

Now let's take a look at the content we are working on for the upcoming version. You've already seen Violetta's new scene.  EQAMRD is currently working on animation.

Reaper3d is currently drawing many new sprites for Ai'Lu, as well as several new scenes for her first personal quest.

And finally,  Sverhnovapony is now busy with new backgrounds.

That's all for today. Thank you for your support, this is very important to us!

The main reason was the Asset Store with useful templates that will greatly simplify our work. Adventure Creator almost completely covers our Point and Click needs, and Naninovel or Fungus are very good for visual novels. These assets look better than what the Unreal Engine offers. We also have friends who have experience in Unity and are ready to help.

Thanks for the update! I really enjoy reading about the development process. What made you choose Unity rather than Unreal?
