I recently read a Cloud/Sephiroth fic called ‘Transform, Little Butterfly’ on AO3 that has so many Hannigram feels (the author themself stated the fic was inspired by the similar elements between the two pairings) and since then I have not been able to get the idea of some sort of crossover between FFVII and Hannibal out of my head. Just like Hannigram, the Cloud/Sephiroth paring can be platonic/romantic/unhealthily obsessive depending on the interpretation. For the crossovers, I’ve narrowed it down to three ideas. First, troubled-profiler!Cloud looking over creepily-interested-psychiatrist!Sephiroth’s murder art (where he explores the idea of reunion by combining multiple bodies together) and saying something along the lines of “the guy you are looking for is a narcissistic psychopathic with delusions of godhood and mommy issues” while off to the side Sephiroth is just like “HOW DARE… he be so accurate”. Second, calamity!Hannibal trying to convince Will to join him in cleaning the Planet of those who are not worthy (aka rude). I have a feeling that Will would love to run Hannibal through with his *cough* enormous sword. Third, the four of them meeting and comparing notes. Cloud and Will would probably argue who has it worse (“He wants to kill everyone on the Planet!” “Yeah, but at least you get to stab him.” “…True.”) while Sephiroth and Hannibal go though the list of what they have done to try and get their prospective partners attention (“Have you tried causing hallucinations ?” “Yes, but he got mad at me. Have you tried alienating him from everyone he cares about?” etc).
