Merch Preview - Hannigram Standee
Added 2020-02-24 19:05:30 +0000 UTCI've been considering making a Hannigram acrylic standee for awhile and finally settled on a design for it; I've ordered a test one so I'm gonna see how it turns out before I plan to put it up for sale~ Parts of the window will be transparent, which may look cool or may look like trash, but I'll have to wait and see owo;;
Since it's so complex I think it might be prohibitively expensive for a lot of folks, so I'm wibbling on how many to order, and whether to make a simplified version with less pieces for a cheaper option. I was also considering preorder, but the shop I'm currently using doesn't handle preorders very well, and I'm not about to go out and learn how kickstarter or some other platform works for one standee.
Let me know what you folks think! The cost for this thing would end up being around 55usd, or 35 if I eliminate the extra uprights. If this design isn't the kind of thing you'd drop that kinda money on, or if you're totally wild about it, either way I'd love to hear it! I may just end up ordering a minimal quantity and releasing them as a limited item lol.

I don't know how you run your merchandise finances; are you able to take payments in advance, which would give you a better idea of how much to place an order for? I get that you're trying to avoid having an excess of leftovers. Those designs are gorgeous, & you could probably have stickers or prints (postcard-sized & bigger) as alternative options for those who either can't afford the standee or don't have the space for one.

2020-02-25 02:14:59 +0000 UTCThe max size that the place I use can do is 100x150mm, so it's pretty small for the price tbh; for a simplified version I'm considering going even smaller to see how far down I can get the price without sacrificing the quality. I'm glad you (and other folks) enjoy it! I worry when I have to release these things at these crazy prices that it looks kinda gross, when really it's just that I want to make weird things with less limitations and those things tend to cost a lot to make lol~

I'm very interested in both this version and a simpler one--I think my preference would just end up relying on my financial timing and overall standee size. May I ask what the height/width measurements will be?? This is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm so appreciative of the one-of-a-kind merch you make for niche audiences. So much more meaningful than low quality figures and bland official t-shirts etc.

Will not buy the acrylic one because I boycott buying plastic stuff, though it'll be a hard thing to skip.

I hope you stick with the version with all the standees, but would it be an option for peeps to order a version without all of them to save a little? I imagine that would end up being a headache logistics wise though. Can't wait to see what your demo looks like! :D
