Will knows he'll be banned from the museum afterward, if not arrested for damages, which is why it takes him months before he has the courage to kiss Hannibal. He visited the bust at least once a week on his student pass, unable to forget about the ancient artwork from the moment he saw him, but the end of his last semester is approaching, and he knows he'll have to leave Hannibal anyway, and he realized he couldn't leave without letting him know how he feels. What he doesn't expect is to feel the shift of the marble beneath his mouth, warm and almost soft, and the creak of stone as Hannibal leans toward him... In the back of his mind he knows the statue must be off balance, that Hannibal isn't really kissing him back, but for a moment, he lets himself dream...
