2018-03-08 18:08:50 +0000 UTCI truly did not know how you were going to resolve this John and Sherlock know Hannibal is the serial killer arc (mostly due to John being a mostly normal person and therefore highly likely to turn him in), but I think you covered it phenomenally well. I could totally see John reasoning it out like this. I love how this played out.
