July Doodle Day - (NSFW) Desert Heat

Prompt - Tina Gee: Lawrence/Sherif Ali from Lawrence of Arabia getting it on 😉🔥👌

I hesitated for a bit over this one because I know there's some complicated stuff surrounding Lawrence's sexuality and preferences, but let's just say this is based on the film and not the real people lol. Altho I did borrow the masochism, I don't think that was in the movie lol

Content warnings: anal, caning, blood, bdsm, pain play

Full artwork is attached, or you can find it HERE :)

A good book to start with is "Lawrence of Arabia: the Life, the Legend," by Malcolm Brown. It's a coffee table book, with lots of great photos and illustrations, that is comprehensive but not too bogged down in detail. If you enjoy that and still want to read more, John E. Mack wrote a Pulitzer-winning biography called "A Prince of Our Disorder," which is one of the better descriptions of his life and analyses of his psyche.

Dang it! I got work to dooooo - yo!

i've only ever seen the film and knew nothing of the history of the actual man, can someone suggest what i should read about him?

I sincerely doubt that, I would think most people on Tumblr don't think about or really understand the complexities of TE Lawrence. I'm confident you'll be fine 👍 Edit: but uh...Tumblr has surprised me before... :/

Yeah, I had a real moment of doubt, but I was also conflicted because like, a lot of people write asexual fic with sex in it, so I'm not entirely sure where the line is in this kind of stuff? So I figured I'll just pin it on the historically incorrect movie version and also the fact that I shipped them real hard when I watched it in college when I had no knowledge of the actual history haha. ...Tumblr is going to rip me apart, aren't they orz

After the war, he paid a fellow soldier to beat him but there was never any sex. In letters he wrote to friends, he admitted he found sex repulsive and he didn't even like to shake hands with people. In the film they don't really make this clear (various reasons, time period, etc) and Ali is a composite character, he didn't exist in real life. Can certainly interpret the film any way one wishes as it's not 100% accurate, and I don't ship these two, but I can certainly appreciate great piece :)

I appreciate your hesitation. In his memoirs and various interviews, it's mainly interpreted he was a homoromantic sex-repulsed asexual masochist. In his memoirs, he wrote that he was caught behind enemy lines and tortured for being a spy. While being whipped he admitted to becoming sexually aroused.
