Future updates! Important info~

Hey everyone! Since this week is going to be really slow, I figured it’d be a good time for this.

So I’ve been thinking a lot about how I’m going to incorporate This Vacant Body into this Patreon. The conclusion I’ve come to is that the only place it really makes sense, content-wise, is the top tier. This presents a couple issues, obviously, so I wanted to run it by all of you and get some opinions.

My current plan is to complete The Persistent Hunter (it’s nearly done, so this won't disrupt that comic at all) and to start posting Body after that. I’m pretty maxed out on comic production; I can’t start updating Body in addition to my current workload, meaning, in addition to another new top tier fancomic. So the only way I’m going to be able to complete Body is if I put it into a fancomics slot. So my plan is to run it on the top tier for awhile and intersperse it with fancomics between chapters.

The big obvious issue is that many of you on that tier are pledging for fancomics, specifically for the Hannigram comics, and I know some of you will remember I had planned awhile ago to continue Study in Black on that tier, and are probably still waiting for that. I’m bummed, but accepting, that this decision will impact whether many of you continue to pledge. I’m trying to grasp how much impact that will be, and whether it’s going to make it financially difficult for me to continue with this plan.

An alternative option I’m considering is splitting the month 50/50 between This Body and another fancomic TBA, so there would be 4 pages of each. I don’t particularly like this because, while it sounds good in theory, I know it’s not a satisfying reading experience to only get 2 pages every 2 week, and I don’t think readers of either would feel very happy with it. But, if this would make the difference between you pledging or not, it’s important for me to know that.

Lastly, I know a few of you are probably wondering why I don't put it on my original comics tier in place of Sweet Bear. Mainly it's because I don't want to put uncensored NSFW content on the lower tiers, but it's also because I want to finish Sweet Bear; Sweet Bear is a finite project for which all the scripts and planning are already done, and it's not very long. I'm going to consider a shuffle of some kind in the future once Sweet Bear is done.

Okay! So, I’ve set up an anonymous poll and feedback form which I’m linking to below; if you feel at all like this will affect your decision to continue supporting me and my work, it’s really really important to me that you fill this out. It’s important that I don’t only hear positive things; if you’re really really mad/disappointed about this I want you to be free to express that.

Thanks so much for your time and your help :)

Do what you gotta do. Working with Yaoi Revolution will increase your patrons, making it reach out to people who haven't seen your stuff. Just make sure to take breaks =]

I love your art and your stories and ill continue to support you no matter who your drawing gross porn of. Oc or otherwise

wasn't the dirt crown in the top slot before? i don't know if there was a huge uptick in subscribers once you started the hannigram/johnlock works in the top tier, and understand you have to look at it from a business perspective. personally i hate multitasking, so i'd focus on quality over quantity and keep yourself from burning out. you are extremely prolific as is! even during january which you took "off"! also i wanted to ask, do you intend to make the current hannigram comic available in print in the future, like wayfinding? *pets copy of wayfinding*

I'm in the "Do whatever, I'll still support ya." camp. I love Hannigram, but I can always binge fanfic to fill the void. :P

Do what is best for you. I pledge even when you take vacation/hiatus. I adore your work. I love how expressive your faces are. I love your whimsical work and your naughty work and your fan work and your original work and all of the combinations thereof. Take my money and make art, please. KThanksBye

Christy Crabbe

I love your art - don't care what it is. Won't stop pledging.

Holly

Ha, me too! Reaper's converting new fannibals all the time. With art.

Jessibee

Quite simply I love and adore your work and am all too happy to throw money at you. You provide some of the most amazing smut and your ideas are fantastic, so for those reasons and more I will cling onto the highest Tier and support you all the way! You've also presented yourself as a lovely person and I want to help you succeed.

I'll echo what's been said already. I pledge every month because you're an amazing artist. While it's true I get a real kick out of seeing stuff that's got Hannigram (among others) pop up. I love your original art too. Plus, it's fun seeing new pairings that weren't on my taser before. 😆 Whatever you decide to do you'll have my support.

As others have said I'm here for the art so whatever you do I'm ok with it. As long as you are putting out content and it looks good and interesting I'm good.

I love your art and comics in general, and I'm really, really excited to read This Vacant Body. The funny thing is, I actually read your Hannigram comics before I ever saw the show (they were one of the reasons I watched!), even Sherlock I only had vague memories of, so it felt pretty new as well. I love your original stuff just as much of the fan comics, and I'll keep supporting it all.

I'm here for your gorgeous artwork; whether it be original or fan-based, SFW or NSFW - I love it all. So if you want to take a break from fancomics... of course I'll miss them but I wouldn't stop pledging or enjoying your work :)

Rei-rei

Here for the art to be honest! I really don't mind if you stray from fancomics, I love all of your content and I'm always very interested in your original work (i can't wait to keep reading your other original comic for instance! been waiting anxiously for that to come back.) I personally won't stop pledging!

Risah

I'm here for the beautiful PWP nsfw artwork, fan work or original.

Pottsy07

I'm not gonna lie, I pledged for Hannigram and Johnlock and Spirk. BUT I also adore your original works which I never really saw before pledging, so you're not gonna lose me either way.

I'm here for your work regardless! Having fandom related comics and work like Hannibal is just icing on an already fantastic cake~'

I'm down for an original work in the top tier. I adore your fan works, but your original work is equally as incredible! So I would say go all out and post that in its entirety. We can pick back up with Hannibal or Sherlock later. I mean, Sherlockians are used to 3 year breaks anyway.

Sabrina Ripperger

This doesn't really effect me because I'm already on the top tier and I don't really follow your schedule (so when stuff comes out I'm happy) but maybe revamping the tiers and adding new ones could be an option. :/ Just my thought. :) Otherwise you can't get rid of me. I'm here to stay.

i'm also here for your works - no matter fancomics or original content. :) what evet you'll decide, it will be good.

Ina_K

Done and done! Just to reiterate what I said in my survey, I'm here for your art and story telling - the rest is just details. As long as I can afford to support you, I will. :)

Jessibee

Christ, you give us so much... Yeah, I started following because of the fanworks that I saw on tumblr, but I love all of your content, especially the original stuff. You have an amazing imagination and all of your hard work really shows. I'm here to support you as the incredible artist that you are.

E Kinsey

I'm good with your original comic 😄 I look forward to fan comics as much as anyone, but I also really enjoy your original works just as much 👌👌👌

You're stuck with me, I'm afraid. Not everything you post is to my taste, and that doesn't deter me from pledging every month. Honestly, I don't even register how much you post each month, other than you post more than many artists I support. I think you need to settle on the schedule that works best for you.
