Quick update - Please don't do this!

Sorry for the weird post, but I just need to let everyone know to please not use the share function (pictured above) that appears on posts to share my posts to other sites. The stuff I'm posting is meant to be exclusive for you guys for a certain time until I post it to my blogs, as thanks for being my patron. It's also unwatermarked and could be more easily stolen; I watermark publicly posted images more heavily. I think this function used to work differently but I saw recently that it was simply posting the images to those sites without any restrictions. So, please don't use it! Please wait to share the images until they become public on my blog!
If I do keep finding that images are being posted, and patreon doesn't change how this feature works, then I may have to start putting bigger watermarks on the stuff posted here, which I really don't wanna do :( If you see anyone posting the stuff here without permission, please let me know about it!

I can see how it could be confusing for someone who's not familiar with Patreon, since it's an option that's right there on every post and it's a natural assumption that if a site lets you use a feature, you're allowed to use it, so I'm not upset at them, but more at Patreon for not thinking this feature through in the first place. In the past few years the internet has become so geared towards sharing things onto other sites that it's just the default for some people. It's a bummer :((

You'd think if someone is savvy enough to be a patron here, they'd grasp some rudimentary intellectual property concepts ...

2016-09-20 02:39:59 +0000 UTCI definitely don't want to; I hate using watermarks even on my public stuff but they really do cut down on the reposting so I have to keep doing it for those. But in this case, it's the first time it's happened (that I'm aware of), and was removed pretty quickly, so I'm not anticipating having to do it soon. Unless it becomes a serious problem. It's meant to be a reminder to ppl who might not realize they're doing harm by sharing to be more respectful of the honest people and keep the pics exclusive for all of you :)

I chose to be your patreon to "fully" appreciate your illustrations & comics, I tolerate the current watermarks (that's said I have no choice), so please, don't pollute all your works with a bigger watermarks.
